In the last in Sydney, looking for value, work around No. 12 Lycean Academy, 13 Afghani and I even give No. 15 Magic Marvo a chance. All need reasonable pace.

No good

Makybe Diva 17th January 2009 05:01 PM

NOOOOOOO! Had Take the Plea in for 2nd and 3rd in my trifecta for the last in Brissy. Boy am I regretting that.

Merriguy 17th January 2009 05:48 PM

32 races Syd., Bris., Adel., and Melb., ----- 5 favourites saluted, a couple at long odds on!

'Nuff said.

maverick1993 17th January 2009 06:03 PM

Yep an awful day for me ,,had to go to Kiwi land to find a winner :)
i had 14 races today with only the one $5 winner and 5 placings..
Bad luck i guess with On Bail and Rhumba Jack ,,,but dissapointing Comanding Hope and the poor Apprentice had a aaaa of a time aboard Barbaricus..
Onalar did ok ,,better outside horses but had his chance ..
Buzzy tried hard but a non winner..

Always tomorrow i guess...might have to try other peoples approaches and pick funny names and pretty colours and throw away the ratings ...baked beans on toast for me tonight :)

maverick1993 17th January 2009 06:12 PM

Well done Makybe on Taos Pleasure,,,been a good horse for me to but i didnt think he'd keep on going ...love to have a few of him in the back paddock ..
and i know what you mean about Take the plea,,,i had him as a $20 shot but do you think i had anything on him at the 80's ?? nooooooo

Sportz 17th January 2009 06:19 PM

Somebody boxed their top 6 ratings for a small % and got the tri in that race. :D

Makybe Diva 17th January 2009 06:31 PM

Results for toda:

Ascot: Dino Mak (Race 1) 2nd
Toowoomba: Choistar (Race 1) 1st
Newcastle: Mount Vesuvius (Race 5) 1st
Morphettville: Catsonsong/Show Bling 3rd (Race 1), Taos Pleasure 1st (Race 7)
Bairnsdale: City Style (Race 1) 2nd
Eagle Farm: Go Sequalo (scr wed for this), Michelle Cafea 3rd, Shuffle the Cash 2nd/Hy Dream,
Flemington: Sacha Royale, Packing Success, Ab Almalik 2nd, Bowhunter 3rd,

So a bit of a frustrating day with placings but not too bad. Don't think there is much pace in the Sunny Coast major race tomorrow so I'll be having something small on Victory Code which should go forward. Like Onasong/Raspberry Licorice in the last but both drawn a bit wide. Think Strong Spirit in the 1st probably the best of the day. If horses are making ground, have something each way on Race 3 No. 3 Sarcastically in quite an open race.

maverick1993 17th January 2009 07:04 PM

Hard to go past Black Piranha though ,,,lst two runs have been huge,,just missed last start from an imposible position and they went slow in his 1st win and he still came from last to win ,,,the horse is flying ...the wide open spaces at the Sunny Coast should suit him even more,,
Sneaky Long will be forward and suited the track and distance,,and drawn very well.,,better with cushion in the ground but the Sunny Coast is such a good surface that it should suit..
Regal Castenea suited more here than the gold coast and should improve,,

Always like having a bet at the Sunny Coast ,,the track gives all runners thier chance and theres always such a good friendly atmosphere there..

Will have to do some more work ,,got ground to make up for :)

BP is flying but I just have a feeling the inside will work to his detriment. I rate Bareena slightly higher. The only two real horses that go forward are Sneaky Long (drawn 1) and Victory Code (drawn 2)

Makybe Diva 18th January 2009 05:12 PM

Disappointing day, BP very good again.

Makybe Diva 21st January 2009 09:59 AM

Ippy Race 4 No. 1 Telesto Warrior Include 3/4 in multis

maverick1993 21st January 2009 10:24 AM

One in the book today
Celero at Warrickfarm race 3

its a hard race with a few nicely bred horses in strong stables engaged ,,,but i did like Celeros last run and with Nash on board worth an e/w ticket..

Phropheteer in the 4th at Ipswich looks good,,,bolted in last time there ,,i'll be having something on ,,and also a exacta with Makybes pick,,

Good Luck all :)

The two favourites went like cats in the fourth at Ippy. The 1 finished 4th and the 4 won.

Makybe Diva 22nd January 2009 08:59 AM

Just one from the Black book today, Hawkesbury Race 5 No. 4 Moderna.

luv2bet 24th January 2009 08:17 AM

hi all,
expect a good showing from the jolly horses in adelaide today.

Tramantana is flying and should be too good, only concern is that there might not be enough pace in this small field. drawn to get back though and will have plenty of galloping room to storm over the top.

In the last im pretty sure the winner will come from one of the jolly runners. Tulavar is the better horse and is hittin peak fitness but rose marie won well at strath and is rock hard fit. no suprise to see them qu this here...

more later

good luck.

Makybe Diva 24th January 2009 09:23 AM

Tough day today, not sure how what the track will be like in Brissy. Slow atm.

Today I like:

Eagle Farm
Three Little Words, Shuffle the Cash, In Phuket/La Bella Luisa, Allaboutus, His Boy Elroy (best in Brissy)

Gold Coast
Sequalo Storm, Nothin Leica Rapid, Dardan, Age of Heroes (best of day here)

Toowoomba
Piccollo Latte

Randwick
Throne Inn, Lycean Academy

Sandown
Beautifly, Aqaleem, Sooze,

Good Luck

maverick1993 24th January 2009 10:28 AM

Last week hit the bank hard so i'm hoping for a good one today,,

Sydney
Hotel Casino , Centre Arena , Anatomica
Melbourne
Sooze / Hammas , Divinne Rebel
Adelaide
Idalou , Tulavar
Perth
Youlwin
New Zealand (cup)
Willy Smith

Brisbane
R3, Ready When You Are ,,,likes the sting out and looked good last week,,not much speed here is the concern but in the past hes taken off early and still performed..Viking Storm is interesting,,,no slow form but the breed seems to go through it ok,,,,these the two i like ,,,over Red Sphere and Encosta Tszyu.
R5, Burdikin Blues looks to good but i doubt a price worthy of backing him,,,he's never been a horse of mine because he runs around so short ,,,means theres value with a couple of the others,,Sectagonal a seasoned pro might be overs and worth an e/w ticket,,if they are getting through the ground
then little Cardio could run a cheeky race..,,i'l be waiting to see how Sectagonal looks in the yard ,,..
R7, Ugly Betty looked good the other day,,the handicapper hasnt caught up with her yet and she likes the sting out...
R8, His Boy Elroy should run well here ,,,(interesting that his Bro " Meet George" is running around in the 4th) be worth an all up ..

Confident Adelaide ,,bit wary of the sticky track in Brisbane,,be worth watching the track closely ,,

Good Luck :)

Liking Tulvar aswell Luv2 ,,should get the gun off a good tempo,,
thought Maduro might help the tempo for Idalou and Tramantana ..nice quiny.

Makybe Diva 24th January 2009 12:43 PM

Dardan/Sooze won and got a nice quinny in Aqaleem's race. STC ran on ok for about 6th but was just too far back. Good ol Taos won again which wont please a few of you who were on Idalou/Tramuntana.

Makybe Diva 24th January 2009 03:21 PM

Born to Hunt has form behind Encosta Tsyzu an earlier winner in Brissy so it would be worth including it in your selections for the next race.

Makybe Diva 24th January 2009 03:28 PM

Not as confidet down the Coast with Age of Heroes. Track still slow and been told the No. 1 trialled impressively. A few others also have ability.

Makybe Diva 24th January 2009 04:57 PM

A few more wiers late in the day. HBE was a masisve flop!

Its a miracle,,,would have been joining the breadline if i had another shocker ,,but wooohoo a few winners today
Sydney
Hotel Casino just missed (and beaten by the horse i was on last week ,,doh)
Anatomica ,,real good win ,,thought Baby casino got there for a sec..
Melbourne
Sooze to good,,and a nice place divie for Lamas,,
Divvine Rebel was awful...just didnt go at all
Adelaide
Was confident ,,but i was dissapointed with Idalou and the ride on Tuvalar
Perth
Youlwin ,,was nice ,,lead bravely again and this time hung on..
NZ
Willy Smith,,awfull,,dropped out the back and stayed there..
Brissie
Backed Ready when you are,,and then got gun shy on a track that wasnt easy to work out,,,Burdikin Blues was super but always to short for me,,and after watching the previous races he was more or less a sure thing..
Ugly betty nearly got there,,(heartbreaking)
His Boy Elroy ??? still running i think..

So not a huge day but atleast going in the right direction,,Looking forward to Monday :)
hope you all had a good one..

Makybe Diva 25th January 2009 10:24 AM

Got one in the blackbook which trialled well racing today

SC Race 1 No. 14 Zahginty
Also 1 and 3 look like a nice little quinny in Race 2.

maverick1993 25th January 2009 10:58 AM

A few good races today ,
Qr6 no1 Showciti ,,,always takes awhile to sort itself out in running,,the long open spaces at the Sunny Coast suit....can really sprint..
Nr10, No7 Tejada
Nr9, 5 Sister Kugah
Vr6, 10 Genuine Edge (was keen on the stablemate here but they scrathed her ,,,Maybe a good pointer to this ones chances)
Cr8, 6 Prior Barron (Sutton Friend is interesting,,real speedy horse but hasnt been around for awhile,,pay to keep safe and keep an eye on betting as he goes well 1st up)
Cr7, 9 Frisco Miss ,,have always had luck with the Friscos,,(got one yesterday) and this one is drawn well and goes well 1stup..

Some fun while watching the cricket and trying to keep cool,,,
good luck :)

Good Luck all :)

Makybe Diva 26th January 2009 12:22 PM

Yep tough day in Brissie. Bit worried with the rail out 7 metres.

Thought the 1 would be hard to beat in the first and going to include 6 and 17 in a couple of exotics.

Will post a few more selections laters

Woohoo good start to the day. Also managed to jag the trifecta including the favourite and the 3rd horse. The bloke who trains the horse than ran 3rd, ian Jackson, seems to be a very good trainer. His horses seem to do nothing in the country and then come to the city and run well. He normally has a few horses at the SC.

Good result. The 5 ran 2nd and paid $3.90. Back it when it gets a decent barrier. No. 3 won. Quinella was $42.

luv2bet 26th January 2009 02:12 PM

nice work there,

ill be havin something on shale shaker e/w at nice odds, massive overs...

good luck

Makybe Diva 26th January 2009 02:49 PM

Loved the way Count To Zero hit the line last start so he'll do me in the John Dillion at Caulfield. Very open race with plenty of chances.

luv2bet 26th January 2009 02:55 PM

scenic shot worth a go at that price, goin to back time matters and ss for the win, then have a saver exacta with orbit to beat the two of them.
cricket in trouble again :(
