Interesting MyHatMyCoat, all 3 winners were your 3rd selections  |

Mr Tambourineman unplaced in his NT debut on Sat carrying 61kgs over 1300M. |

You might have stumbled onto something Paddy. |

PH home and hosed Paddy – even with the enforced break!! |
Yeh certainly looks that way now MyHatMyCoat. Maybe he should just enjoy the break & forget the appeal.

Not a bad midweek welter (1000M) fellas. What do ya think!?

Reported that Mr Tambourineman's likely next start is the Darwin Chief Minister's Cup over 1600M on 10 July. |
Paddy, well I wish I'd kept my mouth shut, although there again, in a way we have to have bad weeks!!! only "My hat My Coat" showing any brilliance, personally I lost on all 3 plans ,.... but that's only one week!!!
|
Know how you feel partypooper, I too went poorly on the 3 main races.

A pretty good mid-week race Paddy, let's hope the track holds up. Not a lot of rain recently, but more predicted. Tritri goes well 2nd-up and should get a good sit behind the speed and prove a little too strong. 3YO Educated Money goes well fresh and should run well. Regal Raider also goes well fresh and should be running on strongly at the end. For value throw in Island Light, fitter for 2 runs after a spell and suited at the 1000M. |
Great effort by Free At Last in the Grandstand Cup on Sat. Believe will be heading east with possible tilt at Melbourne Cup.

Only had a short break before first start in NT. The 1600M should suit down to ground. I'd expect a big run next start. |
(7) EDUCATED MONEY
(10) OUR BIG MARCUS (1) DOUBLE JEWEL (4) TRITRI |
Thanks Chenille Prince / MyHatMyCoat.
My main bet, will stick to TRITRI. |
Track rated dead, PLACID PARK the only scratching from the 7th.
|
On his best form SHAKE MY HAND is not without some kind of chance in the Welter. 2 starts back showed a glimpse of best form when a good winner over 1100M at York carrying 4.5kg above the limit. That was his 3rd start back from a spell. Put in a shocker at his next start over 1200M at Belmont. Shorter distance of today's race is in his favour.

Any idea what they paid for him? seems strange for peters to sell one of his better horses and one that in my opinion was/is capable of winning a perth cup.

fantastic tip sandgroper. hope you were on e/w. anyone know how Tritri ran? cheers umrum |
Ran 5th umrum beaten 2.5len. Had a good sit just off the pace, only battled to the line. Perhaps a bit of the 2nd-up syndrome.

Well TRITRI will be TRINEXTIME for me. Did manage a profit though, thanks to Chenille Prince / MyHatMyCoat tipping the winner (was your 1st pick MyHatMyCoat, not your 3rd  ) and a nice little bit of input from Sandgroper - see paid $10 place over your way. Though it had it won there for a while! Cheers chaps. |
MR. TAMBOURINEMAN been allotted 59.5 (53 limit) in the DARWIN CHIEF MINISTER'S CUP.

I’ve not heard umrum and agree seems a strange move. Maybe more to the story than we are hearing. |
Courtesy The West Australian website:
Jockey Glenn Smith will appeal next Tuesday against a two-month suspension and a $2000 fine for careless riding in the Belmont Guineas. Smith, who rode eventual winner Coppertito, was charged after causing severe interference to a number of runners in the early stages of the Guineas on June 12, in which two riders were dislodged. |
Looks like they're getting serious with their suspensions over there in the west!

$4 earlier in the day seemed like "buying money" for Ca Cao, but now $7.50 for lados looks like value as well. I live just up the road from Belmont Park and I can tell you that there has been a LOT of rain, I will be including Ivory lane in some exotics.
