I sacked Charlie Beau some time back...beaten fav 4 times so far this year!

Quote:
Yeah a top ride by Jason. One of WA's better jockeys. |
the fish
Wasn't a bad ride on Divine Impression R1 Sat either. That horse got crowded early. Ran on nicely at the end.

Guyno
Daka's Gem |
Agree Guyno the one they have to beat. Current odds Ronnie looks overs on his best form & if you forget his last run.

If Luskin Dancer can repeat her last start effort looks ew value at 25/1 (was 34/1). Guyno looks a bit short imo but must be hard to beat. I expect a good run Westerly Breeze today.
|
Dismal effort by Luskin Dancer perhaps her previous start win should be classed as a bit of a ‘fluke’!
Guyno gutsy in defeat. Ran the fastest final 600m. Westerly Breeze a gallant runner-up. Good run the winner & good ride Oli. Another run of note New Spice. Wide early, dropped back, then got going again late, equal 2nd fastest final 600m. |

I know class wise there is no comparison but on miss pageantry's run 2 starts back can Takeover give her 9kg's
|
Takeover Target
|
only 8 runners  very disappointing!
anyone give Honor in War a chance? |
Pace of the race is what this is all about. Takeover Target wont be getting all his own way this time.
Takeover Target a natural leader / front runner has to come over from 8, infront of Grand Zulu who races on the pace and wont be going back to take advantage from (3) Beauty Watch will be doing the same from (2) both not neccesarily looking for the lead but wont be sacrifing their spots either! Pasikatera drawn inside of Takeover is a natural leader and will come over with him.Alverta usually leads but last time sat back and with the pace on will probaby do as last start and drop back.Miss Pageanty has led her last 3 starts (6) Newport will get back That leaves alot on pace runners with Takeover either using some juice to get over or need luck in getting in or being forced to go along at a good clip. Its only about 250m to the first little bend from the 1400. The last time he raced 1400 @ Randwick was the All Aged where he finished 5th beaten 4.3 by Bently Biscuit, Black Ink , Malcolm. Its a big ask with a big weight. i dont rate his opponents at all though. I think the smokeys are Perhaps a Takeover Target + Beauty Watch + Honour N War Quinny at best for me for some value. i also notice gai has a front runner in Pasiketra & one that can sit off in Beauty Watch....... perhaps using the first to benefit the latter ? worth some thought. |
I agree with King Cugat, all on pace. If Alverta can sit off them maybe look for her & Beauty watch coming home,
Don't worry if you don't find the winner just double up on the favourite in the next race & you will still finish in front, I think they call it a win - win |
