Rudolph, all you need do is read the rules in my post on the previous page and you'll be right. We're changing the comp from Saturday metro only to any TAB meeting, so therefore people have the opportunity to pick a whole new stable if they wish after tomorrow's races. You may not want to make any changes at all. It's up to you.

only horse I have running tomorrow is
SR 1 #1 Kincharm $10 win |
same here - 10win Sassbee

Sydney race 1 Astrodame

Well, a pretty disappointing day all round for our stable runners. Still a few races left in Perth but here's how we've gone:
Tipster (Week) Overall Mr Ed ($42.00) $344.00 Chuck ($0.00) $226.00 Raw Instinct ($0.00) $151.00 Sportz ($78.00) $126.00 Starcraft ($0.00) $121.00 Paddy ($0.00) $120.00 Sandgroper ($0.00) $86.00 Mecurial ($0.00) $57.00 Kiwi ($0.00) $54.00 RomanKoz ($0.00) $39.00 Rudolph ($0.00) $26.00 Don't forget, to coincide with a change in the comp rules from Saturday metro only to any TAB meeting, you're all now entitled to choose an entirely different stable if you wish to do so. Again 6 Group A horses and 6 Group B horses and this stable must be posted by midnight Friday Apr 22 OR midnight on the day prior to your next horse running. For example, if you want to pick a horse that's going around tomorrow, you must post your new stable by midnight tonight. If you haven't posted a new stable by next Friday, then you'll just use the one you already have. |
Whats the point of letting people choose an entirely new stable??? i can see absolutely no reasoning behind that at all. I mean, we picked a stable and now we should live with it. 2 changes a week is definitely enough as it is. If our horses have spelled or broken down (which one of mine has) then thats all part of the game isn't it??? I just don't think that a whole new stable is a good idea...maybe 2 changes max...its just not logical

Chuck,
The stable that we started off with was ONLY for Saturday metropolitan races. Seeing as we've changed that rule to betting on any Tab meeting at all, I think it's only fair to allow people to select a new group of horses, so that they can pick some horses for country and midweek meetings if they wish. Some people may be totally happy with the 12 horses they have, and they don't have to change them. |
Why then are we doing midweek races at all? Most don't have much of an idea at all about those races, and won't even be around to put the tips/bets in.
|
NOT HAPPY JAN!!! It just seems that all those who won't be putting in bets for midweek are going to suffer in the end, but definitely are going to be at a disadvantage. How are we supposed to blackbook runners that we don't watch race?

I'm sorry Chuck, but this came up when we had a few horses that people had picked out for Saturdays turning up during the week.
I know that I originally set this up for Saturdays only, but really, if you pick a horse to follow, why should it matter where and when it runs next. A win's a win. Why should you be penalised because the trainer decides to run your horse in a midweek race instead of a Saturday. And you do get some pretty good horses running on Sundays and Wednesdays especially. As for people being advantaged, you still have to find the winners. Just because people will be able to bet any day of the week, it doesn't necessarily mean they'll get any more winners. And chances are, the prices will probably be shorter away from the Saturday metro meetings. If you only want to pick horses for Saturday meetings, that's perfectly okay, but at least now you won't be penalised if they then turn up at a midweek meeting instead. And while it would be good if people notify us whenever their horses are running, I will still check all the fields each day just to make sure that we don't miss any. |
