To be honest Paddy wasn't all that hard to snag with 6 or 7 picks, but as luck would have it the hot favourite missed a place, so paid well. Could have paid pittance if the fav had finished further up the order.

One of my fav WA horses is top weight for the AHA Cup at Kalgoorlie on Sunday. Not really done much since returning from a spell, what do ya think of his chances for Sunday's race?

Agree the name did attract me initially westi, actually backed him when he won his first race at Goulbourn back in 2001. In his initial campaign in WA was only out of a place once & won 5 races! Not a lot of wins since but has managed to get into the money a majority of races. Had my best win back in 2003 when he won the Beaufine Stakes at 20/1. Had a great time after the race (so I’ve been told :D ) which I did verify by the way I felt, the following morning. :)

Irish Pride has a real good chance of winning on Sunday Paddy provided he is somewhere near his best. Kyoshi goes well fresh. Twin City Girl has found a bit of form. Power Play lightly raced and has some ability. Keys To Heaven loves Kal. So too La Escondida. Good luck with the irish :)

If IP doesn’t win (or go very close) tomorrow Paddy I'd suggest this campaign will be his last.

Hi Sportz! Was in earlier (obviously) but only had time to quickly view this thread and make a couple of posts. If the stable comp is back to its original state, I'm more than happy to continue on with my participation. :)


PS. Just caught up with all the latest on the stable comp thread, sort of like a roller coaster ride :) Mr ed and Chuck are going to be hard to catch even this early in the comp!

Last years winner Iron Monger could easily make it back-to-back cups. Easy winner of the Great Southern Cup at Albany at his last start and beaten only 1 len in the Albany Cup the start before. 2 starts at Narrogin for 2 wins!
