I'd be niave to think there were enough people following my tips to actually think it would make a difference.
But thanks for the compliment
I beleive in fixed price betting and any real serious bet is with a bookie (Con's my Fav) i've been burnt to many times on Ias and Unitab with weird flux's. I do prefer the track to anything though.

The last spot in the trifectas is used for the Horse jumping from the next inside barrier regardless of price .. Seems simple but it has proved to be very lucky.

Yo Maverick.
Didn't get an answer to my query regarding the closest barrier business.
Up to you to spill the beans of course. No hard feelings.
One of my posts gseems to have got lost in the post.
Suggested and now will suggest very strongly, that after you are finished dividing up the $100,you not actually set the favourite for the bet you assigned unless it is also your top selection.

To hard when betting on the early markets to work out what the Fav is going to pay..
So its easier to go 30 for the fav and 40 for my selection...sometimes i miss out and pull up short but there's been times when i've had 30 on the early fav and its paid surprisingly healthy..All bets in the last few days have been by using the Courier Mail markets in the form guide. lazy i know but they have been working .

Oh do you mean Don't have a saver ? Mr Ed has advised i shouldnt either But it does show a profit but i know it also takes away from my profit when my selection wins.
But i dont think i would have the balls to go for some of my selections (today counter agent ran at 40/1) if i didnt have the saver backing me up.

Yeah, I've always felt much more confident backing two horses in a race instead of just one. And in some cases if I had to back just one horse I'd probably go for the shorter priced one anyway. A good example was race 8 at Ipswich today. If I was forced to pick one of my two horses I would probably have gone for the fav and lost.

Here is some homework I have assigned for you to do.
Me being a loser and you being a winner and all.
Suggest if it is possible,go back to the start of this forum and write down the starting price of all YOUR first selections and how many selections there were.
And slap the prices up here on this forum.

Oh and Another of my posts that got lost, wanted to know how you picked a horse called Joy's Topic or something similar. It was the day Tellem won paying $11.
I think Joys Topic paid $18.is that right?

maverick1993 9th September 2004 10:26 PM

I think you mean Just Polite,,this is a good horse he raced the week earlier and ran home strong at ipswich ,,One of my fav Trainers in Saun Dwyer and was also in a race where there was going to be speed to suit and if i remember right was at eagle Farm which i think suits the backmarkers. This horse is also a good show on Saturday in one of the group races. Plenty to like about it.

As for the home work i never did it at school and i'm not about to start now. But you are more than welcome to do it its easy enough to work out. I'd love to see the results

maverick1993 9th September 2004 10:39 PM

I have been lucky enough to jag some good winners..Just Polite, Sennett, Business Barbie and Strategic Plan, Taylas Gold all for different reasons..some just for for breeding reasons and the trainer..

Moee if you want a more detailed explanation on anything i can help you with you can email me on mav1993@hotmail.com
and then we wont be hogging the forum .
