well if i could make one criticism of the comp its the picking horses 2 days before they run, i.e. thursday.....i do my form on friday so i haven't really got the winner in mind, plus there is often changes to fields etc. so it can be a hassle not knowing who to pick :(

Well, that's the challenge.

The original reason for that rule was that it makes things much easier for me to run the comp. But even without that, I still think it's a good rule, because it makes selecting your new horses tougher than if we all did it on Friday night.

to me the challenge is to pick a stable of runners that you think will go well in the future (i.e. later this season), and to add runners you like when a feature race is on, but i find it hard when i haven't had a close look at the runners. anyway, just me thoughts
