Vinnie Roe had good form leading into last years race; coupled with a track rated as dead, (which suits), he was entitled to run a decent race, and did. Form is slightly harder to get enthused about this time around, and with the track expected to dry out leading into Tuesday, don't like his chances of winning. ( Place at best on dead or worse ground ).

Distinction caught my eye when 2nd in the Gold Cup behind Westerner earlier this year. Was strong throughout the entire race and only run down by a superb finishing sprint. Liked his run 12 months ago; huge horse, similar to Persian Punch who performed well in this race on more than one occasion. Got him ahead of Vinnie Roe at this early stage.

Yeah i'm with you Raw with Distinction, tipped on top in the early bird tipping comp and just put it in my Fantasy Stable plus backed a while back at $26, thought it was an excellent run in last years cup and has better form this time around plus the experience.

I do like looking at a horse's coat big time! If I see some dappling in the hind quarters, the horse is in a good state. The Europeans always come over here for the BC with their wintter coats already growing and get KILLED in the warm weather venues, but you won't see anymore FLA BC's because of this. Not a problem this year though. It's about 50 degrees F midday and about 38 degrees F at night with wind. CHILLY october north east weather. Winter's coming!
