On a philosophical note... John Landy gave up a chance to win an olympic gold medal to help an injured competitor and it would be fair to say is held in enourmous regard for that ..... If St Kilda were to forfeit the 2 points ( you can have 100s with me of it happening !!! ) and the just result declared, would ST Kilda have just had the greatest PR exercise possible???? IMO the amount of goodwill that they would build up would be priceless and would be worth more than 2 premiership points ... Wont happen in a million years though.
