A lot of people are drawn to horse racing through the [bucket loads] of hype and myth of easy big money. You know the drift: 'Turn $100 into $100k in 12 mths.' !

Sadly, these punters have no real love of the sport and their interest is really just turning lead into gold ...an easy buck.
There are a legion of snake-oil salesman out there who are only too keen to show them how to 'beat the races' [ie. to lose their money with them being the first in line for some of it].

Personally I'm just one of those people who enjoy being right. I don't gamble to win money, hence I don't do tatts or the pokies. And where is the fun in senseless gambling.

As Chrome pointed towards, there is an entertainment value in punting. It makes my heart rate raise when your horse nears the home turn, or it makes you slump when it fades at the end after leading the whole way.

It's a fickle sport, but one that I will be with for a long time to come.

Believe me racer, there is just such an advert. every week in one of the well known racing form-guide papers. Someone is making a nice little earn at the expense of some very gullible punters [thick as a brick] and when you think about it, there is nothing **********ulent about the offer.
