Yeah HORSE WHISPERER that appears to be a mighty attractive price-I'll have to look into it.
crash, you're probably right but we have some very capable Oz trainers who plan and execute brilliant strategies to have their runners in the right condition to win some of Australia's top races. We'll just have to see what unfolds.

Cheers.

Xanadu, your little Faulty Towers "Que" makes me think I have commited some faux pas?
Have I made a stupid remark again?
Enlighten me.

xanadu 18th October 2007 10:11 AM

diogenes,
No, not at all but I viewed post7 and the current markets and could not locate any Viva Pataca or Viva Macau.
Maybe I misinterpreted your post otherwise, no worries.
Have a good one.

Cheers.

Yeah, pretty sure they've been out of Melbourne Cup contention for at least a month.

diogenes 18th October 2007 05:15 PM

Hmmm, I read somewhere that they arrive Monday and are booked to race.
I read a lot of stuff, maybe it was old or maybe I am.
It has worried me that they haven't appeared in any markets but that sometimes happens.
If they come what do you reckon?

xanadu 24th October 2007 11:17 AM

Yeah, we'll just have to wait and see however I doubt if they are still in the Cup.
However, Scorpion and travelling companion, Mahler arrived safely after a marathon trip but all appears well.
It would seem that Mahler is much, much more than a mere travelling companion for Scorpion and has attracted a lot of attention but when was the last 3YO to win the cup...1941, Skipton?
It is a big ask but some of those northern hemisphere runners have disregarded the record books before haven't they?

Cheers.

miss finland by 10 lengths, get on now as she will shorten if she wins the cox

crash 25th October 2007 10:28 AM

I wouldn't be so sure that Miss Finland will be in the Cup. She has to at least place in the Cox first which from b1 is going to be a big ask. Not her favorite track either.

A bit of "shock....horror!" with the news that Scorpion has been injured and subsequently withdrawn from the Cup. We've done our money but there is nothing we can do about it so we move on.....
There is also a cloud over Maybe Better so we will just have to see what eventuates after the results on the weekend.

Cheers.
