Is there anywhere on betfair where you can see previous markets, like what was the last odds up until the jump? I would love to see what sort of odds I would have gotten for some of my selections on betfair compared to tab.

Have all your serious bets with the TAB until you get used to the Betfair interface and play around with small stakes on the new interface.

Once you get used to everything and back a $5.00 TAB horseat $12.00 with Betfair, you'll never go back.

On Friday night I backed a $1.10 pacer at $1.60 Betfair - you just can't lose if you look for value. Well you can lose, but it's much harder if you get good prices.

True!
I can't complain, I am doing OK. But just this last race at Kyneton I had 5*50.00 on Our Brockie and it came second at $5 somet, I am sure I would have got more on Betfair,
My biggest problem is sitting here all day it drives me bananas !!

There are 3rd party programs that let you put on small bets.
Its called Bet Trader Pro

Chrome Prince 3rd February 2008 04:22 PM

Yeah, it can do for sure.

If you're betting on Betfair and don't wantto sit around all day...

put your bet on <1min to go when the book percentages are close to 100% as possible.

Take an interest in UK racing and take Betfair SP an goto bed ;)

Automate it using a bot

I've got really sick pushing myself up til early morning laying UK races because I can set a bet in-play, so love the UK races.

I've now retired from staying up late (on doctors orders), so I have all my bets preprogrammed or settled in by midnight.

I think ones called Betfair Pro? You might want to message Angry Pixie he/she might know.
Bettrader pro it is free to use, just do a google search. It has videos to show you how it works. It is a must have.

Feeling sorry!?

Chrome P,
Someone told you yesterday, that, more or less you were taking money from people on this forum.
I just had two bets on betfair at $7.6 and at $8.2 in total for $45 for a horse
Flying Along which paid around the $4.5 mark on the TAB.
Can I, you or anyone else, help, it if there are people who put their money where their opinion is?
I wish I knew of this caper before, and no, I don't feel sorry for anyone on Betfair just as I don't feel sorry for anyone on the TABs. We go into this with eyes open and hopefully, minds open AND on the job in hand as well!
Still have a lot to learn as far as using Betfair goes, but as long the crowd is asleep, I will take advantage.
Good luck to all.

I will try that.
I am not into lay-betting, strictly a rating, ("handicapping", but since I do it via software I would not hurt the feelings of some purists) man.
Although I suppose, I could lay my rejects, but still, the concept is strange to me, besides, if I back a horse, I get back my stake multiplied by the odds, by laying, if I get this right, I get the stake of whoever took my bait?

Bettrader Pro standard interface is free.
BetAngel standard one click interface is free.

Gruss Betting assistant is only 5 pounds per month with standard interface, ladder interface, triggered betting etc etc.

I'd start off with the other two and progress up, Gruss Betting Assistant is brilliant, the interface is reliable and they constantly improve it.
It's not an ad for them, I don't get anything out of it, it's just a great tool at a great price - I wouldn't be without it.

Chrome Prince 3rd February 2008 05:52 PM
