Hi Chrome

The bot just loads the fields ever 12 hours. It's all completely automated. I will check in every now and then via an RDP session to do a bit of housekeeping.

It's been costing $0.33/day each day of February.

BF Bot Manager v2 is what I use. Very reliable and the developer helps you out if, for some reason, you need it. It also has a Dutching bot and trading bot and is a one off fee for life including updates.

Of course no bot will help you unless you have a profitable strategy (which I'm finding out about yet again in my testing two systems thread). :(

Sounds like a great product but i am so used to doing it all in excel, plus this lets me record info i want and integrate with websites if needed.

Betting bots

I do thank the members who have replied, most sincierly, and if others wish to add anything please keep it rolling.
To NORISK I have self taught myself to use a computer and I use XL sheets to record all of my research. I do know that XL uses formulas for various cells etc but know nothing about how to go about it, so GRUSS would be out for me.
It does appear that BFBot manager is the way to go, linked to the server that Anrgy Pixie mentioned. If I could ask him, does the BOT place bets when the computer is off. I imagine the answer is no but I'm not sure.
Again I thank you all for the replies.

It won't place bets when it is off unless you have submitted SP bets.

What AngryPixie has mentioned is a service separate from the bot that you can install the bot on to that would run 24/7

Just like getting a website host except they would host your program and run it from there system, people could use a service like this for anything not just betting bots.

The Ocho 13th February 2012 10:07 PM

Hi 217, I'd give the bot (any bot) a trial first and see if it does what you need it do just on your computer. For most people running a bot on their own computer is fine. You can always get a virtual server (VT) later.

When I'm testing on the UK markets I just leave my computer running all night. You can always switch it off in the morning or put it back on again for the Oz racing in the arvo.

The bot will not place a bet unless your computer is on AND the bot is running (unless your on the VT).

Thank you THE OCHO for your informative replies.
I have requested more information from the marketers of Bf Bot manager and awaiting a reply. The more information I have the better informed I will be and be able to make the right decision.
Please keep the info coming.

Heres 2 free Bots
I dont know if price comparing can be done with these 2 Bots.

BetSoftPro

JetBet

---------------------

Some very easy to use BOTS that can separate price differences.

The Bet Engine
Very good , it can do a wide range of things & is easy to use.
2 or more systems can be run live with this.
Has very handy Sim mode for testing systems using pretend money.

BetFair Manager
Min bet is $5.00 with this.
Its very good, it will even monitor your horses price & only bet or lay it if the price changes by a certain percentage in or out.
They have a number of staking plan that are very good.
Has Sim mode

BetBotPro
This is the one I personally use.
This allows one to bet under the 5.00 BF limit. But try not to make a habit of it.
It also has a very handy Simulation mode along with simulated bank .
It has a very easy to use facility for storing your various strategies.
Has a number of staking plans.
One can run 2 Bots live with this ,say win & place betting.
Has its own virtual bank for each system stored.
It can store over a hundred systems with ease.

They all have free days trial usage.
They are all very user friendly.
They all have their own Forums.
They can all run approx 3+ systems at once in Sim mode for system testing without having to use real money.
It uses a virtual bank so you know where you are at with each individual system.

Hi Ocho,
Just out of interest.
Does BF manager allow bets under the BF limit?

Shaun 14th February 2012 10:39 PM

With all these sim modes are you logged in to betfair and how do they get results with out placing the bets?
