I was right about that. I listed 7 horses in my ratings and my 8th rated horse won. :o

Yeah I was a mere one place better, in a dismal 7th spot. It was an overlay, however, seeing as my ratings are to 80%, but I don't go down to 7th pick when looking for overlays, so didn't back it................

Sorry glenn, would have replied if i'd seen this thread earlier

I wish you had seen it earlier also, Chuck. I did pretty well with all I got, but the more tips the better. I do handicap them myself as well. I have Muswellbrook and Grafton tonight, If you like a challenge. I'm not sure about these two, but we usually get country tracks on Monday. (Sunday night for me).

Regards,

Glenn

Yep. Monday is usually the lowest standard racing of the week (except when it'a a public holiday). Having said that, today's racing doesn't look too bad. I'll study it a bit more and post a few thoughts.

How did anyone think Paternal went Sunday, have a small interest in him and we were pretty happy with his first up run for 11 months. He really weakened with 100 to go after looking a huge chance around the turn, but first up with the big weight just got to him. Off to the Valley in a fortnight, he's 6 of 7 there and our hopes are high.

Sportz 8th February 2005 07:06 AM

Very good first-up run. Only problem would be if he needs just one more run to produce his best.

May well be the case Sportz. I thought Melham's ride on him was 10 out of 10, hopefully Kerry can book him and his 3kg claim in the city next start.
