He did draw off, didn't he! I wish I could of caught that triple and exacta but I just barely got the win in as I was watching Aussie when they were going in the gate. Thanks Avenge! and thanks for alert, Brave.

Branch Out First start, sat outside leader in crazy speed duel, were 6L in front of field, kicked clear in the straight, only tired last 100m. In Mick Price stable, will win races. One in a MillionWould love to see this horse draw a barrier. Sat outside Lotteria first up & today raced 3 wide no cover outside the leader in a solid pace. Huge merit. Worth noting the other 2 horses finished last & 2nd last. |

Brave, sorry. i've been giving credit to Avenger for tabbing Mr Question. Good job there. He was stepping out of State breds to open company but he handled the jump no problem.

ON A JEUNE - Since winning the Cranbourne Cup LR last year when he drew a middle gate (8/16), this horse has drawn the following barriers. Geelong Cup (16/16); huge run!, Melbourne Cup (18/24), Ballarat Cup (16/18), Open Hcp (2/7 First Up), Open Hcp (10/10), John D Lee LR (15/17), Balaklava Cup LR (15/15). Providing he gets some luck with the marbles this preparation, I think there is alot of upside to his staying potential.
Note: Placed in the South Australian Derby G1 when drawing (15/16). APPROACH THE BENCH - Finished off last campaign with a placing and then a win in consecutive MW0 races at Moonee Valley. As it stands today, his career stats are 8 starts for 4 wins and 4 placings; (all seconds). Races handy and has great fighting qualities. Yet to be produced this spring but a definite watch! ASPEN LIGHTS - Good wraps on him before his shocking failure at debut on a heavy track at Bendigo; stewards queried the ride. Pendragon. Got the 1800 which is what he wanted, 3 wide the trip, looked the winner a long way out, looked like he didnt really like the whip in the straight, looked like he was getting a bit tired before stretching out for the last bit.
Isanami. Had a pretty hard run and then copped interference. I don't think he would have picked up the first 2 but he is just working up to a nice win. |

Beat a handy field at Cranbourne before going to town, had to carry 57.5. Been given a freshen, back to 1200 Class 1, and drops to 53.5, should be good EW odds. *Even with 58 the topweight does look hard to beat. |

Its weird. Just a while ago (3 months ago) i black booked a few runners after i saw them do pretty impressive runs. Like 90% of them ended up winning after about 2 or 3 runs after the one i blackbooked them, not ness the first run after i blackbooked em. The thing about this was, by the time it got to the third run after the BB most had jumped off but i got 20's or more for most of them which means i got all the money back on them and then some.

E/Way maybe... MISS BRIDPORT MOONEEVALLEY R3 No.7 (1200m) Won Moe Maiden at first start, where raced greenly but finished of the race really well - taking on some good ones here (4 Rewaaya/2 Megadeal/1 Bodacious Harmony), but @ $13 pre-post represents good value (me thinks anyway!!) RED DAZZLER MOONEEVALLEY R5 No.3 (1600m) Was dissapointing last start when pulled up sore - but has somethin about him - his previous run was excellent (3 len to 2nd, 3 1/2 len to 3rd) in heavy - so soft going will be appreciated and extra distance suits Good luck.... JOE DIRT ROCKHAMPTON R7 No.12 (1200m)
Has won three on end after a series of placings, has been "up" for a long time, but appears to relish the racing. Placed every start @ Rocky and 5 of 8 at the distance. Has a wide barrier and is only reason to tip against him here, as record from wide is a little suspect (as are all horses!) Up into open grade, but down in weights 1.5kg on last run, and he has carried 61kg to win this preperation. The other item to note is a new Jock on board today... Merritt Obvious dangers are: 2 Bourverie's Jest 3 The Falcon 9 Bro I'm going to go: 12,2,3 - 2,3,6,9,11,12 Good Luck |
