Ambivalent1 29th April 2006 08:13 PM

Geelong look gone. The worst umpiring I have ever seen in an afl game. So biased towards Sydney. Shocking.

Meanwhile the Storm are home. 24-4 up 70 minute mark.

classiconi 29th April 2006 10:07 PM

Yeah Ambi lucky i took the Cats with +24.5 they just scraped home, ur tip on Melbourne Storm was pick of the round so far nicely done there.Anyone watching Chelsea close out the premiership?? United had no answers today, great performance.

Ambivalent1 29th April 2006 10:33 PM

Well that Chelsea Man U game was one hell of a disappointment. Very ordinary one-sided affair. I put 1000 on Chelsea to win the title pre-season so that will give me some play money online now at least.

Im going Newcastle-Manchester City-Draw(wigan v portsmouth) treble for tonight.

I just need Manly to win at the line of -2.5 to complete my weekend multi-bet.

Floydyboy 29th April 2006 11:02 PM

Well there goes my $42 multi ......only cost me a coupla bucks ....I didnt include the German 3div sides in anything else 1win 1draw.....I am however hoping that Liverpool and Bayern Munich have victories they're my mainstays for the night .and Blackburn
Manly seem to be doin alright at the mo .....Kennedy was a good buy on their part. Good luck Ambi.....Always been a Menzies fan (not a manly fan though)haha

Floydyboy 29th April 2006 11:08 PM

I watched the Chelski victory Manu were shocking ....I think part of that was due to them being on the backfoot for most of the match .......I missed the possession stats but I think they would have easily favoured the blues.

Floydyboy 30th April 2006 12:30 PM

God Bless Liverpool ,Bayerm M and Blackburn

Heres my goers for today and tonite......

*Eagles v PAR Eels 1.60

*Genk v Beveren 1.40

Osasuna v *Real M 2.40

Brighton v *Stoke 2.60

*Bordeaux v Le Mans 1.57

*Valencia v Alaves 1.37

TOTAL= 30.06

Ive had a treble on Genk ,Bordeaux ,Valencia as well

classiconi 30th April 2006 02:58 PM

Luckily I took Newcastle with the draw no bet option, they have been in quite fine form the last few weeks but they didn't even turn up yesterday, Birmingham had them under the pump. My multi has carried into tonights fixtures lets see how it travels.

Floydyboy 30th April 2006 03:23 PM

gamebookers do a double chance (win,or draw) skinny odds .....just another option
,

classiconi 30th April 2006 03:47 PM

That sounds quite interesting Floyd might have to take a look, btw Osasuna vs Real Madrid not as cut and dried as you would expect, Osasuna need to win this match to consolidate 4th spot and a Champions League birth, the team has played well all season and I really expect a show from them tonight, could surprise.

Floydyboy 30th April 2006 05:32 PM

No Ive thrown them in there on suspicion only.......Bit of a fun multi that one......
They owe me heaps from about 2 seasons ago when the had a six match streak of losses or some such at the end of the season ......
With all the talent they bought Its hard to understand how they lose so often.

My first leg got in by a point ...it lives !!
Ive had a few bob on the home team treble

Ambivalent1 30th April 2006 10:16 PM

Juventus up 3-0 after 8 minutes lol

And Al Capone has just scored for Cagliari against Parma.

Ascoli-Juventus is my double and if they look like winning I might speculate on the Tottenham-Bolton game. It is sensational not having to work tommorow and being able to stay up and watch it.

Floydyboy 1st May 2006 05:39 AM

I stayed up all saturday night watching the soccer last night wasnt an option for me ...Im up to watch the Spanish match this morning though

classiconi 1st May 2006 06:10 AM

Well Bordeaux choked against Le Mans and Inter Milan lost against Empoli, however they had Veron, Adriano, Recoba, Cambiasso, Toldo out, can't believe I didn't do my homework on them, this week should have been so easy.

All the other fixtures came in, and the two odds on draws which I speculated about came in as well (Sampdoria vs Udinese, Treviso vs Ascoli) should have been easy money this week, oh well next week it is.

Floydyboy 1st May 2006 10:13 AM

A short treble for tonite

Sunderland v Arsenal
2 @1.28
X
ManU v Middlesbrough

Was looking at The Hammers as well but theyve got a lot of players out due to injuries or resting Dean Ashton in particular and a nothing match to boot

NKXIII 1st May 2006 03:22 PM

how u going guys? weekend was a bit disappointing. geelong are in a bit of trouble now as are essendon who i rate as a team, but they just can put it together. good game to watch though. how about the draw between saints and dockers? paying $67 for a draw according to the herald sun.. never mind. next week i suppose. i jumped on the storm, which was great.
as for tonight.. my pick is

EPL:
ARSENAL -1.0 @$2
i think thats good value. sunderland are gone and arsenal need the points to get back to 4th as spurs had a win on the weekend.

what do you guys think?

classiconi 1st May 2006 04:00 PM

Well Arsenal are still 5th even if they win tonight, spurs only need to win on the weekend to secure 4th spot, Arsenal's only hope is to beat Barcelona in the Euro Final and get in to europe as holders but thats just my opinion.

I'm actually going the other way I think there is good value in Sunderland to perhaps keep the gunners goalless although I won't be betting on this fixture, could be interesting.

Floydyboy 2nd May 2006 05:54 AM

Good old Manu let me down again ....Into extra time 0-0 against a second string boro side....Ruud missed a penalty as well ....

Floydyboy 2nd May 2006 06:01 AM

After watching the weekend disaster with Chelsea I wouldnt have let Saha or Park on the paddock .......but they were both there until well into the second half

Floydyboy 2nd May 2006 08:15 AM

Some for tonite for an interest......Im really waiting for the weekend

FC Kufstein v FK Austr...

Rochdale v Carlisle
2 @2.00

That should have read injury time

NKXIII 2nd May 2006 08:52 AM

gunners didnt let me down.

too easy. they were desperate and scored all 3 in the first half.
should have won by a lot more.

Hammers were good odds too against Albion, didnt get on that though. about $3

Floydyboy 2nd May 2006 09:02 AM

I left west ham alone as well the BBC sport site said they had a heap of players out and it was a nothing game for em ..but there ya go .....and Im like Classiconi I dont like the handicaps seen too many draws in matches ive bet on let alone 1 goal victories..But Good on ya just the same

Nicely done there Floyd, I wanted to have a stab on Blackburn this morning but I only bet on weekend fixtures so missed out... how do you assess the lower division markets Floyd? You do any homework or you just taking a pure punt?

Floydyboy 3rd May 2006 05:46 PM

Glad you asked Classiconi .....I open the fixtures page close my eyes Then I move the mouse vigorously up and down vertically,,,, where it stops ......sorry I just walked in the door from the salt mines ...Im always a bit chirpy when Im home and comfy..........
The first thing I do Is look at home teams that are 1.30-1.50 and Away teams 1.50-1.80 (approx).....that way I let the bookies do the work for me (to a point).........Then I compare the 2 teams and if I likethe fav I back em .........well.I dont have straight bets on the short ones I just have doubles or trebles ..............I only apply this to those teams that you dont see or even the English lower leagues ..........With the premier league I dont stick with the price criteria because you get to watch it know the players etc so if I like Blackburn at 2.60 away to beat charlton I back em .....

Are you one of the FORZA AZZURI crowd............
I used to be when I lived in NSW but it was CARN THE BLUES( same thing translated to strine )

I watched the second half of the Blackburn Chelsea match ...And werent their fans ?????? ecstatic........ off to Europe .....no bet for me though .........my old man was a pom he came from Lancashire , from Burnley ....I never back them they seem to like the middle of the table too much .....
My bettings more for fun than expectations of huge profit ...i like to have a bet and watch my money go round or watch the live scores coming in.......But in saying that Im showing a profiton each my 3 betting accounts (approx$ 400 total) since november last year ...........But half of that could go in a weekends betting haaha ....Tonite for instance I have had$20 on the treble ....Not much Iknow but then again I wont lose much if it falls over ...

Floydyboy 3rd May 2006 07:16 PM

Now for my next cunning stunt
A lazy Fiver on

Sunderland v Fulham
X @ 3.25

Man C v Arsenal
2 @1.62

Bolton v Middlesbrough
X @3.60

TOTAL $18.95.........

Ive done sillier things with $5

Floydyboy 4th May 2006 04:48 PM

Going again tonite ....just a double .......not super confident ....but while im playing with their money I can be flamboyant haha

ARSENAL X REAL MADRID @2.80

Floydyboy 5th May 2006 05:52 AM

Sunderland win there first game at home all season to tip my $18 multi out the window haha .....There poor fans deserve something out of a bad year ...good on em.
Arsenal does the job ..I backed them straightout so if Real draw away from home (again) ...Im covered with a small profit......and I wont know till this arvo .........Im off to work

classiconi 5th May 2006 06:51 AM

I knew a result was coming their way, I was a match early when I said they would keep the ???? goalless...I'll have some tips posted tonight and some specials tomorrow

Floydyboy 5th May 2006 04:18 PM

Real up 3-2 ..or 2-3 as u like ...they were leading 1-0 when I went to work...Ive had a very good week....cant imagine lucky streak lasting too long .................Ill study the form and get back to ya later

my union tip

i now like the waratahs to win by heaps seeing now they have to win to finish on top of the table and get home ground advantage for the semi(which if they win) then home ground for the final which over the years has proven almost unbeatable. si thats why i think they will put in a supreme performance tonight. hope the forum curse doesnt strike me .hehehe

bad luck, i thought the chiefs would go very close tonight - always good at home, and usually do well against the top teams

:( i was rather hoping the forum curse would strike you tomorrow ;)

classiconi 6th May 2006 09:02 PM

In France I like the 3 dollars on offer for Lyon to beat Lille, Lyon have only lost 3 times this season and Lille were one of the teams to beat them, however it will be hard to stop the Lyon juggernaut which has just gone from strength to strength. Having already won the competition, there is a query on their motivation, however they are a quality side and should not lose this match.

Another worth looking at is PSG to beat Ajaccio who are particularly weak away from home having won 1 and drawn 4 all season in away fixtures. Add to the equation that they come up against the leading goalscorer and it becomes apparent that this could be the banker bet this week.

Moving over to Italy, and a quick scan down the fixtures reveals Ascoli vs Lazio is rated an odds on draw. Following on from last week, where I tipped both odds on draws, I am tipping that the trend will continue with a draw.

I am trying to decide whether Inter have the motivation and squad to beat Siena, they have a great home record however last week they had 7 first team members out and got beat by Empoli. I'll probably wait until the team is named before having a go on them. Otherwise not much interest in Italy this week.

Spain now and I am looking to back Valencia who have a great home record, as they are in a dogfight with Real Madrid for that coveted 2nd spot. Deportivo @ 2.oo looks good value to beat Bilbao as well.

In England, my tip for Tottenham may seem biased, but I think that credit is due, they have held on to 4th spot this far I don't think they will let it slip away at this late stage of the comp. I will also back Arsenal to beat Wigan, Portsmouth to draw with Liverpool, Fulham and Middlesborough to draw and Man Utd to beat Charlton.

Floydyboy 6th May 2006 09:34 PM

Nice write up Mr C ..thanks for that .............however I must retire for the evening Im afraid ........cheers and good luck
