Good going today, crash! :)

How did you pick Illustration? That was a bold selection. :D

crash 28th July 2006 05:57 PM

Well I just had to break that 2 days of 'outs' Sportz ...anyway I could !!

maverick1993 28th July 2006 11:55 PM

well done Crash...a couple of nice trifecta divies there aswell ;)

crash 29th July 2006 12:37 AM

Hi Mav,

After your previous suggestions I'd like to say I had those winners as banker tri's, but I didn't. There is certainly scope there though. Thanks.

crash 29th July 2006 05:27 AM

Here are a few at Doomben for a heavy or slow track that all have excellent wet track breeding even though some have not raced on the wet yet or maybe only once or twice. They are horses I think can potentially win, meaning a barrier and jock within their running style and other details suit ok.

Running styles are [L] leader [P] on-pacer [M] mid-pacer [B] back-marker and the * are my personal choices. Some very good odds on some of these so for exotics fans they are worth throwing in.

Doomben [slow/heavy] Saturday 29th.

r1/3 Poppy Power (3) 53.54yo b g (B J McLachlan at Sunshine Coast) S Seamer [P] **

r2/12 Radar O'Reilly (NZ) (6) 53.06yo b/br g (G A Ryan at Gold Coast) Matthew Palmer (a 2.0) [B]**
10 Pay Me (16) 53.04yo b g (S L Watters at Caloundra) C Spry [B]*

r4/5 Bold Reason (7) 53.03yo b c (K T Webb at Toowoomba) J L Taylor [P] distance :- ( ???
9 Attackengo (5) 53.03yo br g (P J Facoory at Toowoomba) C Spry [L]*
16 Indomato (8) 53.03yo b g (T N Miller at Sunshine Coast) M Cahill [M]**

r5/2 Mersey Beat (2) 57.04yo b g (A E Bailey at Gold Coast) G Colless [L]**
12 Prang (10) 53.05yo br m (N R Dawson at Eagle Farm) M Cahill [M]
18 Vitruvius (1) 53.05yo b g (Gregory Cornish at Beaudesert) Ms S Drake (a 3.0) [M]*

r6/10 Gloucester Road (10) 53.06yo br g (Ms D Newham at Gold Coast) Matthew Palmer (a 2.0) [M]*
14 Fleeting Echo (2) 53.04yo b g (Ms G Roberts at Toowoomba) P Wolfgram [L]

Good luck whatever your betting on.

crash 29th July 2006 10:35 AM

r2/12 Radar O'Reilly is scr., so I'd put in Down to Earth and back it and Pay Me. Both to win.

r6/10 Gloucester Road is scr., so I'd back Fleeting Echo ew.

The rest I'll back to win as the odds are there. Any more than 1 winner [besides Poppy Power or Mersey Beat] should be 'gravy'.

crash 29th July 2006 02:51 PM

Doomben

Into the gravy boat !!

r1/3 Poppy Power $3.40w $1.40p
r4/5 Bold Reason $28.60w $6.90p

Stix 29th July 2006 03:22 PM

I can't spell ... :-(

Yep your right Crash - as you've said before - pick enough of them in the one race and you'd hope you'd get one......

So on that form, I wouldn't have thought that you'd ACTUALLY backed them...

Gotta have a bit of fun Stix, so I just did what I said and advised others. If you would like me to bull shat, I could tell you I bagged the tri on the side as well. I've got nothing to prove to you pal. My runs are on the board and are well in profit. I don't see yours anywhere.

The sad part is, you have ended this thread that I put up Stix.

Stix 29th July 2006 05:15 PM

.............wow!

You have issues!

Geez, you can dish it , but can't cop a dig.... wow, that says alot.

maverick1993 29th July 2006 10:39 PM

Great get with Bold Reason Crash...i thought wouldn't be racing today in the slow but you had him picked last night..
Then again i dont know much about the Singspeils...
But his last couple of runs have been good with just no luck at all,,

partypooper 29th July 2006 10:52 PM

C'mon STIX, that's just the Australian character per se', found that out with a few broken noses way back in the 60,s, just learnt to accept it!
All things considered I think Crash does put up the business BEFORE the races, so credit where it's due!

crash 30th July 2006 04:34 AM

Stix must have done his rent money again and needed to take it out on someone who didn't.

Anyway, I get to kick his butt in the comp. next week so he better buy some new darts.

crash 30th July 2006 05:19 AM

This thread to end of July.
RTW w/outlay 93 w/return 119.1 w/profit 26.1 [ 21.9% POT]

PP
"Before" the races..... hmmm not sure what you're getting at there.

Never said it wasn't a good get, just sceptical that - against (numerous) previously expressed reservations of betting more than one horse per race - crash backed Bold Reason AND Attackengo AND Indomato all in the same race......

Crash

Didn't "do" the "rent money", as it's hard to do when you own (at 32 yo) the place you live in..... your right I didn't win yesterday..... but as for taking it out on someone, that's not me....

I just saw your post and I thought that is rather hypocritical (the trait I dislike the most!).....and on top of that I just can't believe how poorly you handled someone expressing a (doubting) point of view - as you continuously provide to other posters threads (re: CP's gelding theory......)

....Anyway, My "darts" are sharpened for this week....... "We is gunna get it on cos we don't get along........."

crash 30th July 2006 02:27 PM

Stix, you are frothing at the mouth.

My bets are all upfront before they race Stix and yes I do believe one bet per race is the way to go and have recently said so in a post elsewhere ......as you so gleefully have noted. I also said, '....unless backing longshots' [you left that bit out sunshine].

I'll be keeping my bets to myself from now on. I need this dribble like a hole in the head.
