can't see any 2400 / 2400+ form matilda..,,bred to stay?

Don't know it's breeding,but it ran a near track record over 2000 at Caulfield the start before,and it was very strong at the line in the Turnbull,suggesting it should at the very least get a strong 2400.
Only time will tell.
Whether it's up to CC class remains to be seen,but if the speed is on you could do a lot worse than backing this bloke e/w.
The tempo in the Turnbull was farcical,yet he still finished it off,which makes me think with the pace on(usually is in a CC)will suit him even better if ridden quitely.

i think efficient stands out :)

of the outsiders, i think Cinque Cento, Pacino, Scorpion are chances but i cant go past the top 3 of efficient, master o'reilly and maybe better

I reckon they should grab a couple of oldies from the Melbourne cup parade to add a bit of depth..although i reckon Arwon and What a nuisance might just miss the place ..but I'd definitely have Saintly,Ethereal,Media Puzzle and Might n Power in my top ten :D

lol Leica Falcon could yet run in the big one. Now NSW minister for primary industries has got behind the connections and is trying to get it across the river in time for the race. If this horse runs, and wins, it will be one of the greatest stories of all time.

Read that Purple Moon, Tungsten Strike, Scorpion and Mahler will all be put through their paces at Sandown tomorrow. Any feedback on how they look / work would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have heard there has been alot of money on Mahler for the cup shortened from $41 to $11 but I would question if that money is for real most of the true english form students rate it quite considerably lower than Scorpion and Purple Moon and they have Scorpion a mile in front of Purple Moon make of that what you will. They ofcourse do have to acclimatise

Whatever you back don't leave out Master O'reilly. His last start win 600m sectional was slashing and his breeding has 'stayer' written all over it. He passed Duoro Valley as if he was standing still !

Mahler in from 41 to 11 but I wouldn't be on at 41.
It just cannot beat Scorpion or Purple Moon and Antipodeans have some seriously good contenders.IMO
