I am finding at the moment that backing the top 2 selections is performing better.

I have 252 races with results for all selections but will only be recording the top 2 selections as of Monday.

The first number under rated is there rated position so in this case
1--- 96.55--- $3.14--- 7 Passed In Twice (1)

Is the top selection with a rating of 96.55 and a price of $3.14 so if the runner was under this price you could say it is not worth backing, but i still working on the price part so this is of less importance rated position the amount separating each runner is more important.

The last 2 days have been pretty good and today with 3 on top and 2 2nd rated was not bad and we came close to taking out the 7 races with my top pick 2nd in the other races, i didn't hear how far away Yass River was but i backed it at 20s on betfair and rated it a $4.55 chance.

Should be at least 10 or more races for tomorrow.

Also i am informed it is very wet in Queensland and my ratings do not take track conditions in to account just to let you know.

Slow start to the week but a couple of nice winners $12.50 each on betfair to boost profits.

Well what a day, 9 winning races from 17 with my top 2 selections including the quinella in the oaks, my bank increase for the day was 60% this takes my bets to a whole new level and may allow me the split my bank so i can tackle the exotics

Well done Shaun, I also had a bumper day, with my place plan netting over a grand if ONLY I could do it every day!!!!!

I've settled into only backing overs now and although my "investments" are about 1/4, my POT is up from about 4-5% to around 20%, that's after almost 400 bets so I'm pretty confident, Hey! you're not going to that Betfair thingo at Burswood next Thursday are you? thought we might hook up for a pint?

I didn't know they were having one, i might look into it, would you have a link or anything handy on it.

Sure it is no effort as i have to create the sheets for myself any ways, i am tired of changing ideas so i plan to stick with this as long as the bank holds out.

My current staking method is to back the top 2 and run a quinella bet with the top selection to stand out from the top 3

I would like to work some exotic as the ratings themselves are quite good from my point of view.

Hard to make a profit this week, i guess it does that good thing we had a bumper week last week.

Quinella bets are doing ok i am thinking to take my top 2 to stand out from the 3rd and 4th i want to avoid boxing them all if i can.
