Alinghi is the deserved favourite and has done everything right thus far... but I have picked Wager before and I'll stick with the same..Wager will explode from the start and keep them all honest and if Alinghi does win then she's a champion! It will be quick and no room for mistakes!

Gai's horses Wager and Dance Hero may work against each other, they will ensure a cracking pace just right for Alinghi to swoop over the top of them at the 200 and go right on with it. And you don't often need luck when D Oliver is aboard.

Be interesting to see what the Waterhouse jockeys tactics are tommorrow.Dance Hero cant win unless it leadsIt ran quick time in the MM but was given the lead easily.Wager has more early speed,but will he let his stablemate lead?And what Crimson Reign,its got early speed to burn,so has Tahni Girl.Alinghi can sit on the pace or come from behind,d asa they will most likely burn the turf up front,they are going to play right into her hands(or feet).My only concern is the awkward alley(11)Damien will have to be careful he doesnt get trapped out in no mans land or have to drop right back and come from near last as she had to in the Diamond.All things being equal and without(hopefully)G.Boss knocking half the field out of play,she will be too good for them.

My figures for the Slipper expressed in Kilos. Unlike most I do not think Alinghi is over the line.I have not priced the race yet but at a rough guess I think Alinghi will be around 7/4 in my market which I doubt the bookies will bet. Crimson Reign looks the value at 14/1. She should cross behind the speed and get a nice run.The wide barrier seems to be making her a false price.Anyone agree?

The race looks hard to me, so i won't be backing anything under 8/1, may have something on FASTNET ROCK, it looked like he got to the front too early last start and was a sitting shot , with more pace on he should settle mid field and run on strongly

while I think Alinghi, barring bad luck/gang tactics etc is a good thing, I am looking a bit deeper. Uber has been kind to me, I see no real reason to get off, and at the odds will do me.. my own ratings have it about 27 bucks so is paying good overs with Sports Tab.. I will have a wee bit of the 67 bucks Munsie is putting up... I rate David payne as a trainer and I think this horse will run ok.. Also Charge Forward nd the Hawke's runner are worth a serious look at.

It nearly worked again, blue diamond day i took all up special harm, lohnro, alinghi for $100 i collected $578 from the bookies a good price considering if i had done it on the tote i would have collected only $270. Had the same trio on saturday to collect $455 but Olivghi let me down.
