Yep Mr Ed got Kitnat but didnt have Cord in the trifecta  also didnt have Raffin Glow in SOR race either Dam Polygram.
Frustrating day today with so much oportunity .I finished ahead but I've been backing my selection with the fields for awhile now and today because of the big fields i chickened out and missed a $20,000 trifecta. what makes it worse is the tri i did have the field in with Kings Arch payed nothing ...
Great win by SOR and Raw instinct today and a surprisingly healthy Treble payout.
The threads still picking winners guys
great idea Nashy

maverick1993 14th November 2004 10:55 AM

Sunshine Coast R6 No10 Tycoon Rose this horse gives her all and last week in a unsuitable race she gave it to the sprinters. In a race where there was no speed on she took off midrace because the jockey knew she wouldnt be able to sprint with them,,Tycoon rose still hung on to be only a couple off them. She's a backmarker that needs a bit of luck so i'm hoping her and Clanger bring each other into the race. This distance suits her and so does the dead track because she does have feet probs so the sting out of the ground suits.
I'm hoping she's in atleast double figure odds.
Good luck all

Imagele 14th November 2004 01:38 PM

Hard to know what the price will be in relation to value, (tote odds currently $5-10) but I'm going for CEDAR TEE today, Ararat R7.
Won 2nd up last time in, handles the wet and placed behind Jakodae over 1700m. at Flemington prior to spelling.
For value, In the weakest C1 you would ever see, maybe KOOYONGKOOT, Benalla R5, is worth a try.
Placed in a C1 1600m Ballarat, Sept. 2003 with 56.5kg.
Was 2nd up from a spell that day as is today.

$4-70 for Cedar tee. Never got a cracker meself.
Took Cedar Tee to win, 2-3-8-9 for 2nd., field for 3rd. Trifecta- $403-90/ $1-00
That's the way I'm goin' lately.

Mr ed 14th November 2004 04:30 PM

Nice win Imagele, bad luck. Good place divvie with Tycoon Rose Mav nice work.

maverick1993 14th November 2004 05:18 PM

Great day today guys. Thanks Imagele for Cedar tee . Yep nice return with Tycoon rose and she addded some good value to the tri.
She was ridden alot closer than usual today but with the track firming she did a great job.
Great win by Mr tambourine man ..shorter than i expected but a winner is a winner.
Now whats on tomorrow

maverick1993 15th November 2004 01:00 PM

I like Distorted Miss ,Kilmore Race5 No2. but think she's better on top of the ground so will be hoping the track improves.
In the 3rd i liked the run of Brief Eruption last start he really battled strongly after doing alot of work and he should be improved by the run. There will be support for the 9 and the 5 so i'm hoping he'll be good value.
I think i'll just concentrate on these 2 races and start looking at tomorrow.
Good Luck

Imagele 15th November 2004 01:20 PM

Like the look of BONNIE JEAN Kil. R7. especially at the $6-00 quoted by Ray Huxley this morning.
Don't think she will be those odds though. Current TAB price, $3-70.
Won a 3yoF. mdn. 1200m. on the slow at geelong last time in.
Placed behind Solar Antiquity on the heavy at Ballarat prior to spelling.
Stewards queried the run last start when resuming and ridden by Taggart.
Trifecta could be the go with Fuchsia Lady, Bonnie Jean for 1st and 2nd, field for 3rd.

Certainly have a knack for jumping the wrong way.
Anchored Bonnie Jean in the quadrella for $16-00.
Saver trifecta with Fuchsia Lady to win, Bonnie Jean for 2nd, field for 3rd.
Where does Bonnie Jean finish?
You guessed it. 3rd.

maverick1993 15th November 2004 09:41 PM

Brief Eruption nearly got over the line. Didnt have a trifecta in that race because i thought the top 3 in betting were the only chances. In hindsight boxing them 20 times would of been the smart option.
can't win them all Imagele but we were close.

maverick1993 15th November 2004 10:42 PM

I Like Equilago Warrick farm Race6 No8 tomorrow. This horse was full of running behind Shepishir last start but was held up down the straight. The extra distance suits. Beadman is riding it tomorrow so i can't see it paying to much but should be atleast double figure odds...there is some promising horses in the race so who knows .

I promised myself that i would leave Rameka Mackay Race7 No4 alone after the bad luck she has had with me on her the last few starts but I'm doing it again ..she owes me ,,,I dont like the fact that she's droping back in distance but she's fit and likes the track.
Good Luck

Warwick farm
race 7-1 Caught Courting

Real Deal 16th November 2004 09:40 AM

Get every last cent on R5 No 4 at warwick farm- Happier. Insiders in the hawkes camp have tipped this to be the next big thing after lohnro. It may just win by the length of the straight!

Chuck 16th November 2004 10:38 AM

Lets hope your right, Real deal, cos i just put money on him to win, and put him in my quaddie!!!
Chuck

Imagele 16th November 2004 12:04 PM

Moe R1. VOUKEFALOS. A maiden racing in a weak C1.
Placed 4 times last prep. on wet tracks.
Moe R6. WOOD IN DEED. Could be some value.
Placed C2 Moe 2050m. April with 56kg. on a slow trk.
Placed in C3 at Ararat most recent run on the hvy.

maverick1993 16th November 2004 06:57 PM

Well done guys !! Another winning day today  Good tip Real Deal
I knew i'd stop Rameka but she was fairly short and the fact she was dropping in distance ..not to much damage done..
Equilago was short but with Beadman winning four out of five races before hand i knew he was going to be. I got on early though but not early enough but a win is a win.
What was great today was the Sydney treble
The first two legs were easy and then i went wide in third and got it. My 2nd ever treble as i got the Brissie Treble on Saturday.
I've never been into doubles and trebles but i can see the value in them now especially if you have standout selections in them..
Now lets see whats happening tomorrow

Imagele 16th November 2004 09:03 PM

Pleased you had a winning day Maverick.
I reckon Voukefalos was a bit stiff.
On the rails coming to the turn. Had to hook 5 wide to make a run. Failed by a head.

Re your comment regarding the value in trebles.
I saw the value in quaddies some time back when I landed a $3500-00 div. for an outlay of around $12-00.
Since that time, I've had 3 winners and a placing on about 40 occasions.
Unfortunately they don't pay out on that.

Mr ed 16th November 2004 10:33 PM

Ballarat Rc 10 No. 15 Rotational. Is a nice 3 y o who won a narrowly Class 2 at that track a few weeks ago. Had been nominated for some nice races through the spring the last one being the Sandown Guineas, he presumably never run because of the wet tracks. This means nothing until you look at his most astute trainer in Mayfield-Smith he would not have entered if the horse was no chance. Takes on some tough older horses here such as Pheonix Express and Approach the Bench who will be tough to run down. But should get a lovely run just off the pace and prove hard to beat from barrier 5.

maverick1993 17th November 2004 12:29 AM

I really like Courts In Session tomorrow Hawksbury Race7. This horse fought on well first up last start and is now up to his more favoured distance and drops weight,,can't see it paying much though.

Scarlet Scene is running again tomorrow and i'll be on again but beware this horse always seems to find traffic.

Good Luck guys ..

Imagele 17th November 2004 11:21 AM

Hard going at Ballarat today.
R4 #12 SHOW PRINCESS.
Won a maiden this track in Feb. by 7L.
All but 2 runs since have been on wet ground.
Last chance to show that run was not an abberation.
($36-00 into $11-80 at the jump. din't give a yelp)

R7 #8 LE BUCHERON.
Fresh horse on the scene. Wide barrier a bit of a worry.
(stone motherless)

R8 #8 LEGALLY ORANGE.
Had 3 runs since resuming. Placed C2 bendigo this dist. last prep. with 57kg.
Finished 2.4L. astern of Dowry, SA Oaks, May.

Wipe out today.
Some of the place results at Ballarat make form study a bit of a farce.

maverick1993 17th November 2004 05:57 PM

Courts In session gave me a heart attack coming up the straight but showed great fight to win.
Scarlet Scene did the usual and turned a beautiful run into disaster..I think the jockey was worried he'd get boxed in he pannicked alittle and eased back and around and lost to much momentum. thrice bitten thrice shy now.
Bad Luck Mr ed with rotational he looked like he had a good run but got a alittle lost in the straight..he looked beaten but still battled on which is a good sign.

Imagele 17th November 2004 08:49 PM

MR ED
Have you noticed how difficult it seems to be for 3yo's to win against older horses this time of year.
I tend to avoid them at least until FEB-MARCH.
Roadhog was another example today beaten at a short quote.

Mr ed 17th November 2004 11:57 PM

I'm still in shock it started favorite, a three year old who won a C2 by a whisker jumping up to C4 i thought i would get at least 8 or 9 dollars. It really ********s me because last start i had a major go at Approach The Bench in a race i thought it was unbeatable in, had every chance and ran a shocker. Today i back against him and he runs like a superstar. I think i need to be more forgiving like you with Scarlet Scene Mav and not sack horses from one bad run. Your right Imagele in handicaps, under WFA they are extremely well suited this time of year but today like Rotational had .5 kilo less then the winner after his claim that is a joke. I think he may have been cut off from a run by the winner on the inside Mav but he did stick to the task nicely and i think he is a horse to follow.

Mr ed 18th November 2004 12:21 AM

Mooney Valley rc 5 no. 6 Subella is a very good sprinting mare from adelaide who hasn't had much luck when racing down here. She was heavily specked at odds during the flemington carnival from 81 into 41 and ran a terrific 5th behind Sensational Spot, she has Oliver aboard tommorow (dont know whether that is a help or hinderance nowadays) but with only 53.5 kg's she must be a huge chance against this moderate field.

Imagele 18th November 2004 09:52 AM

MR ED
Regarding Approach the Bench.
It seems the Smerdon horses grow another leg at Ballarat.
Written Journey, Written Habit were also impressive winners.
The only one I was on, Show Princess, came in for solid support, ($36-00-$11-80). Didn't fire a shot.

maverick1993 18th November 2004 12:35 PM

Radetzsky March was so impressive the other day i cant go past him. Canterbury R4 No3 .

For some value Maewest Pinjarra R6 No7 is a horse with some talent. Had the wide barrier last start and still won. This is alot harder but should be improved.

Imagele 18th November 2004 01:57 PM

Poor lot at Hamilton today.
Maybe R9 #4 DIAL ZERO.
Placed 1st. up last time in, Edenhope C2. 1200m.
This race looks as weak as they come.

Sworn off night meetings.
Horses and jockeys get lost in the lights.

(Nothin' to crow about today. Dial Zero beaten into 4th. place by a 9yo. which had prev. won 1 from 37.
They certainly know how to beef up a trifecta up the bush.)

Race 1/5 mysteriousmountain
Should have one last start

Well done church!!!!!
Had 20 wins on him. Another good tip on this thread, keep up the good work.

Canterbury race 2... cezanne. Thought there might be a little value with this, quoted at 7-1 in todays paper, but will run a lot shorter than this. Should run a big race.

Good luck to all.

maverick1993 18th November 2004 08:11 PM

Well Done Church !! got my money back from Maewest...my hopes are on the march and Subella tonight ..i've never had much luck in night meetings but fingers crossed .

maverick1993 19th November 2004 10:09 AM

Rosielee Miss RockyR6 No3 had been real good to me in the past and should give a good sight in this race. I'll be working Tri's and 1st4's around her, Exmplify and the interesting runner Amalfi's Revenge.

Stratus Faction is another who will go well today CranR7 No3.

Good luck all

sportznut 19th November 2004 10:21 AM

Hey Mav, how about Rosehill R6-10 tomorrow???

maverick1993 19th November 2004 11:50 AM

I'm going to have to back my namesake. Actually looks like it has a good show. Usually i'm alittle nervous with a horse first up over 1500m but he's had 2 barrier trials to get him fitter and Gai usually places them well.
we should all jump on board.
hey sporty remember when i said i'd leave rameka alone ?? I couldn't help myself and had alittle on her and stopped her yet again. I'm doing the same to Scarlet scene of late as well. But i'm leaving them both alone next start so they should bolt in.
Go Maverick

sportznut 19th November 2004 12:04 PM

Yeah, but every man and his dog seemed to be on Rameka this time. Even Steve Hawkins made it a special and that's a lot of weight for the poor horse to carry.

Cranbourne today
Race 7-2 Startus Faction

smart mare destined for greatness....

Mr ed 19th November 2004 05:53 PM

Sorry again lads i think i should be posting on a tip the favorites who run second thread. Young Benbows 3kg is what cost us i think. Hate Sandown dont bet there. My only bet for the day is the good thing in Perth, already had a decent crack at the $1.75 available on fixed for Ellicorsam, i dont generally bet odds on but when they look this good i have no problems buying the totes money.

maverick1993 19th November 2004 10:40 PM

Had a crap day today...not many days i get a first4 and still find myself behind...

I like Sam Sun A song tomorrow and the Little Shrek looks good as well in Sydney..
Is it just me or does Eagle farm look really hard tomorrow..doing my ratings over and over and still finding no real standouts..
i think theres going to be a few upsets..
good luck all

luv2bet 20th November 2004 12:42 PM

My tips for today

Melbourne race 7 Force Appollo
Should get some nice odds with this one. Hes been racing in much better company than this I feel, and after seeing the amount of ground he made up last start against great is great, im sure he will be there abouts.
Sydney race 5 our highlander.
Up in class but drops weight, extra trip shouldnt be a problem. The way it won its only race indicates to me this thing will win a few races..

Good luck to all.

LUV2BET

maverick1993 20th November 2004 06:22 PM

Well i knew they'd be some upsets in Brissie but couldnt find them. I pick the shortest 2 winners of the day. Another struggle today so i'm hoping for a better day tomorrow.

maverick1993 21st November 2004 10:56 AM

Looking for some value today with Regina's Best ScR8 No6 this horse ran in a class6 last week and ran on well. Saun Dywer must have an high opinion of this horse as he usually places them very well. The top weight is the danger but with good speed in the race she might come over the top of them.
Chestnut queen R4 Strathalbyn No11 should appreciate being on top of the ground she ran a huge race first up and if she gets the lead she'll be hard to run down. The only other i rate in that race is Red wine Bid.
Good luck
