It's $4 on Unitab and that's what I'll put down for you, so 6 units on each quinella.

Finally on th Quin subject Sportz. I think you might be wrong there about Roving Banker Quins not being available on Unitab. PeterPan put this on through his Unitab account and it's called a Roving Banker Quin:

01/09/2007 19:06 01/09/2007 PERH 3 1r2,3,4,5 (ROVING BANKER) Quinella 1 $4.00

I'm yet to find out why the same bet on Stab costs $6 though!

Well, I don't want to keep going on about this. But I use the Unitab website and I can guarantee you that it is simply called a banker quinella on there. I just put a bet on to make sure I was correct and I was.

In the info section of the website, they mention 4 different Quinellas - The standard Quinella, Box Quinella, Banker Quinella and Multiple Quinella. And here's what they say about the Banker Quinella:

BANKER QUINELLA
If you feel there's a 'sure thing' in a race that looks certain to win or at worst run second, then a Banker Quinella is a perfect type of bet. Your 'Banker' would be the 'sure thing' and you can group it with any number of other runners in that race. Providing your 'Banker' runs first or second and any one of your other selections finishes first or second with your 'Banker', you win the Quinella. The more 'other' selections you take the more combinations you get. For example, if you took a 'Banker' with six (6) other runners you would get six (6) combinations. This bet would cost $A6 for a $A1 bet and $A3 for a 50c bet.

In any case, no matter what it's called, for the rest of this comp, the bets you made yesterday would cost $4, not $6.

Well I've just found out that PeterPan's bet was through a Stab account, not Unitab.

Strange why the local TAB ticket I bought cost me $6! I'll have to look into it and find out why the difference in cost.
