Promising mare Avenida Madero is about to return to racing following a well deserved spell. The daughter of Metal Storm had always showed ability but it wasn’t until her last campaign that we saw the true AM stringing together 6 wins from 7 race starts. Hopefully more wins are around the corner.

Money around last start class 6 Belmont, didn't do much but fitter and down in class today

DCFC 18th May 2005 08:45 PM

That’s more like it :)
And even better for that run ;)

Given an easy run in the last heat, trials yesterday at Belmont

eagle1 19th May 2005 08:19 AM

The top weight will likely be a warm fav in the last at Narrogin today but I think Pretty Boy a real good chance to get the winners cheque. Only lightly raced and has run some good races behind better class horses than he meets in this.

Former south ozzie based American Gothic looks set for a big wa debut at Kalgoorlie today
Gone well fresh in the past and has raced ok dead and slow ;)

COLOURFUL was extremely unlucky last start and will today sport silks with the addition of blinkers. Former eastern states campaigner TURNBUCKLE with the addition of blinkers last start covered a bit of extra ground when a close 2nd behind multiple city placegetter Lady Noire. This fellow has also been placed at Doomben and Eagle Farm.

Both COLOURFUL and TURNBUCKLE running today at Kal - races 1 and 2.
Worth a tote ticket or two.

Little Imagele 23rd May 2005 10:05 PM

Back to Northam Thursday for Seymour Mist.
She looks very well placed on the limit in the class 4.
All 4 of her wins have been on this course and all runs back from a spell have been solid. ;)

Looking at the jockey stats, apprentice Dion Luciani is having a good year. Clear top apprentice, he's moved to 4th overall with 30 wins, and has a place strike rate of 2.7

Initial thought race 6 Northam tomorrow saw the topweight and likely hot favourite Lionel Park as a special. Looking further at the field I see lots of pace with LP drawn wide so start to doubt that initial thought. Then look for horses suited by a fast pace and with some ability and come up cold. SO back to that initial thought

Scratched today nominated for Belmont Wednesday

DCFC 31st May 2005 12:32 AM

Art Of War jumps back up to a class 6 1600 on Wednesday at Belmont but all the better for his last start 2nd where he ran on well over 1400 and down in weight.

DCFC 1st June 2005 02:59 AM

WATEVI slow to start at first run in WA has the addition of bar shoes today. Depending on type and material could prove a short-term benefit but longer term is a worry (hoof problems / unsoundness in the lower limbs)

westi 1st June 2005 09:04 AM

Looking at the 2yo races today THE DEN put up a nice run on his debut and will be suited by the drop in distance; HI ON LOVE was a nice trial winner over this distance at Belmont recently; so too was REGAL RICH (Harvey) over the 900M at Lark Hill and ARGYLE MYSTERY has showed improvement this prep

Blinkers come off DANGER MAN who can improve on his first prep; blinkers go on for MADE BY MAGIC who has good trial form; PRETORIA (Harvey) was a strong 2nd in a 900M trial at Lark Hill recently; TAKEOVER QUEEN unbeaten in 2 trial starts although both over 400M and definite room for improvement with BLETCHLEY LADY who had support at only race start following a trial win over 1000M at Belmont
