Gee thats a decent bet. Hope it comes off. Just as long as Seymour comes second i wouldn't mind at all.

1,4,5,11 seem the way to go in that race.

a4brianp 11th October 2005 07:47 AM

All lost our money although did get a bit of a run for it. full report on www.insiderail.com/.

Result = 1-8-4........ shoulda boxed the 1,4,5,8.......Radio Tab got the box tri with 8,4,1....

Oaksnaf 11th October 2005 12:39 PM

At least Seymour gave me back E/W odds.

Oaksnaf 11th October 2005 03:29 PM

I like the look of Super Sandman returning from a spell in the next at Albion Park, good E/W odds.

Matilda 11th October 2005 03:45 PM

She's all fake E/W.

Oaksnaf 11th October 2005 03:54 PM

Just two more to make note of:

Nope..... No Cigar tonite !

But Thanks to Barney (aka Brian) i am well in front. As you can see I usually take the tip as an Anchor in the Tri and exacta and take the next 3-5 rated horses for second (sometimes throw in the outsider) and for the field for the last leg of the tri..... and also take the selection e/way.

I have run my results over a 7 month period and it is showing an excellent profit. (Don't have the figures on me - they are at work and will post them tomorrow)

Keep up the work Brian - It works - you are a gun !

Patezza 11th October 2005 08:49 PM

Just wondering if anyone out there can point us to a website which lists trots trials results.

Regards Patezza

My parents were incredibly hard, but I was never smacked as a child ... well maybe one or two grams to get me to sleep at night.

Yep just go the official harness website and click on your state, (VIC) and then you will see the option trial results.

eg: http://www.harness.org.au/vic/trials.htm

Patezza 11th October 2005 09:28 PM

Nice one Oaksnaf,

Liked the Victorian trial results , simply brilliant the way they insert the class of each horse. However I was unable to find NSW or QLD trials.

Regards Patezza

Go Plastered.

Patezza 12th October 2005 08:03 AM

It's ironic that Victoria has all it's trots trials but nothing for NSW.
In thoroughbred racing it is the complete opposite with NSW to the fore and Racing Victoria keeping their trials/jumpouts a secret.
Had to laugh when CEO of Racing Victoria reckoned that trials were useless in form analysis and suggested to "watch betting" for races with first starters.
Whose betting one must ask ??????????

Well i backed one of those on Monday in the last race and it won paying $17 might not win overall, but always handy to have a quick dabble on those.

Keep up the work Brian - It works - you are a gun !
Win 12.2% POT (av price $5.28)
Place (1.16%) POT (av price $2.11)
Ex 27.4% POT (av price $28.60)
Tri 44.7% POT (av price $258.22)

There are two or three huge results which prop these figures up..... but THAT's THE IDEA !!

:)

Question

if a horse breaks it's gear during a race is it decleared a non-runner and money refunded...... or is it a case of serve your self right for betting on the trots !?
:D

a4brianp 14th October 2005 07:34 AM

No Stix just bad luck same as in gallops when a saddle slips and Jockey has no control horse is not called a non starter and bet is lost.At Caloundra yesterday in second last race the favorite was backed out of stalls as jockey had noticed saddle was loose if they had have jumped chances are the saddle would have slipped or worse came right off.
I know very frustrating but really now days doesnt happen that often not like in the good old days when not unusual for gear to be held together by hayband..
cheers
Barney

Had $20 WIN @ $22.90 = 458.00
Had $20 Tri 1-3,4,6,8-F ($626.80 x 71.42%) = $447.71
Had $20 Ex 1-3,4,6,8 (84.40 x 5) = $422.00

In $1327.71
out $60
Profit $1267.71 (2213% POT)
