Whats going on?

Extract from stewards report Caulfield last Saturday:

"The Stewards today questioned trainer Mr R Smerdon, acting on a report from Mr D Villella, Stipendiary Steward in the Compliance Assurance Team, with concerns as to whether Shewan, which was engaged in Race 7 (The David Jones Cup), and Mosheen which was engaged in Race 9 (Yellowglen Tristarc Stakes), that they had been administered any medication on race day

The Stewards could not be fully satisfied on the evidence that Mosheen had received race day medication and after reiterating to Mr Smerdon that it is his obligation to present the mare to race free of any prohibited substances, the benefit of the doubt was afforded to those connections and Mosheen allowed to take its place in the field. The matter has been adjourned to a date to be fixed pending the results of pre race samples taken from both horses and also a post race sample taken from Mosheen
"
