.......and the $2.40 for Australia at lunch time is looking okay too!!! (not sure what they were paying at tea)

Just goes to show that the betting method that myself and DP follow is a pretty good one in any Test match that Australia's playing. Now, as long as it doesn't rain for 3 days. And even then, there might still be a result!!!

$2.85 on betfair at one stage :). I can't beleave people didnt see england batting like that and offered stupid odds. Everyone knows englands top/middle order have struggled and on a pitch that was all over the place the $2.85 was a very nice price lol.

190 is not a big score. It doesn't take much to get up to that total, so England deserved to be favourites at that stage. Even now, Pieterson could still do something incredible tonight and get up close to that score.

I've got to say that I think England would be stronger if they had Graham Thorpe in there somewhere. I've always thought he was England's most reliable batsman against us in the past.

Had a look at the replays of the England wickets, and a couple of them seemed to keep a bit low. Or was that just an optical illusion or something. If it's keeping low on the first day, this test may not last till the weekend!!!

Floydyboy 22nd July 2005 06:03 PM

Well I didnt sit up at all and havent seen all the wickets but the side on view of haydens wicket that I saw (even though it went straight through him) I thought stayed lower than normal ...17 wickets in a days play ....Youd have to at least put some of that down to the state of the pitch ...... low or no

Musta read this forum and made a decision he just announced his retirement from rep cricket effective immediately...

Is that true Floydy? If so thats really disappointing. I have always admired how Graham Thorpe went about his cricket. A very disappointing end to his career.

I hope you dirty Queenslanders are ready for him to inflict some more punishment in the Pura Cup this year!! :)

Floydyboy 22nd July 2005 09:15 PM

Im not a true queenslander
Ive been here since 2001 and Im big on the Lions and the Broncos but as hard as I try I still cant say QUEENSLANDER!!!!!!! with any conviction yet ..so until I do I spose Im still a bluey ....

Hey Sportz I see Floydeboy ran third yesterday Might pick one up soon ....
I know its the wrong forum but years ago During the Carnivals I used to look for all the NZrs coming across the tasman I used to leave em their first start and back thier next 3 or until they won I used to get some nice winners ...The invaders dont seem to do so well these days though

I can see why Rod Marsh resigned from his position at English Cricket. Apparently, one of the main reasons was the fact that they continued to pick this Jones as wicket-keeper ahead of the guy he wanted in there who was a much better keeper but not so good with the bat. I can see why he was upset.

Floydy, your namesake likes REALLY wet tracks. If he has a slow or heavy track, he's a definite place chance at least, but I think he might possibly need a real bog to win over here.
