There are three systems (alonside manual selections) that are being trialed with this staking plan at the moment. But this brings another dilema, if System 1 profits during Month 1, do you stick with it, or switch....? Judging the best time to jump ship, is another interesting debate I guess.

Keep an eye on your first selection only as a $20 bet and calculate how it would have gone in comparison to your other bet method[s].

So far it is 1 $20w bet for a return of $75.
Your other method[s] have some serious catching up to do and the maths are not in their favour.

I suppose it all comes down to what you [really] want from punting for $20 a day, trying to make a profit by the end of each week or having the action of 5 bets a day[?]

For me personally I'd be trying to give myself a bit of both the above and for $20 a a day I'd end up having from 2 to 3 bets [max] a day. 2x10 or 1x10 and two 2x5 bets depending on what's on offer odds wise. Nothing wrong with liking a bit more action though, especially for only $20 a day.

I punt for pleasure first and profit 2nd. If it was the other way around I'd be going with the maths. as much as possible and having a 1x20 bet a day or even less days and bigger bets.

May sound odd, but one thing I am trying to teach myself is self control. It is very easy to go through a day and have 20-40 bets, and nearing the end of the day "oh ill just have one more". It's instances like those that I want to rid myself of.

I don't enjoy losing money (who does), and I do enjoy punting. If I can minimise my losses whilst having fun and teaching myself self control, then at the end of the day I will be happy. But if I lose money on any given day with just "random bets" because I feel like having a punt, then it is not money that I enjoyed parting with.

Top 3 prioreties would be: self control, fun, profit.

Oh, self-control eh? Nothing 'odd' about that, especially with gambling interests.

That can be a hard one [I used to flog the poker machines for a couple of years ...scary stuff] and it's one of the reasons I stay married to tough woman. I might be living in a cardboard box otherwise:-)

Another serious interest that uses up time and mental input but little money perhaps? Anything away from gambling can be a big help. Chess mainly for me [I play on-line and locally] nowadays and I have a motorbike interest too.

Chess, Sudoku and mind puzzles are very interesting I reckon. And I play my fair share of sports, watch my fair share, and work for a few, but nothing has ever tested self control as much as punting does. It's a fascinating sport when it comes to aspects such as the mind.

And I reckon, If I can create self control in such an atmosphere then I should be able to anywhere else and in any other situation. That is why a staking plan becomes one of my prioreties. And hence the thread.

I also like to have all limbs actively working.... Although indoor rock climbing is quite enjoyable. And I also trust my computer more than I trust a bunch of wires.
