I'm really sorry if I didn't explain the rules clearly enough, but I did say that you had to choose at least 2 horses (between 2 and 6) in the 4YO+ category, and the total amount couldn't exceed $1,000,000. Now, obviously you can't spend the whole $1 million on one horse, because then you wouldn't have any money at all to buy another one.

So, can you make another bid please, making sure to leave yourself with enough money for at least one more horse?

Okay, so that's the tactic. Well, it wasn't really the way I intended the auction to go, but it's within the rules if you want to do it. Personally, I think you're robbing yourself of the chance to get 2 or 3 or even 4 good quality horses in your stable though.
