In twenty years time - nobody will be saying " remember that race Black Caviar won?"

But ask anyone about the Cox Plate Bonecrusher won.
Even a 25 year old I know knows about it from his dad.

anyway GOD KNOWS why , but whoever got excited yesterday , I'm happy for you.

Anyway , if you get excited by races that the result is known a week before it is run , more power to you.

Like I said , I prefer watching a contest - But thats me.

THAT'S MORE LIKE IT MOEEE!!!!!!

Bonecrusher v Our Waverley Star!!!!!

I felt a little disappointed that you originally used a country maiden as an analogy in your earlier post.

She will be tested eventually and we'll hopefully get a ding dong battle to the wire.

That, I look forward to.

I did however watch her race with the sound on and off. It's just beautiful to watch her gallop, her fluency of motion is majestic.

A very interesting article in the Sunday Papers about 'her stride'
here.

Cheers.

It does also make you wonder who (which horse will break the spell?) i.e. even the mighty ARKLE (different code I know) eventually met his "Waterloo" even with a broken leg and a defeat of 1/2 length, they reckon that he met with the injury very early on in the race, so the mind boggles! 27 wins from 34 races (from memory) 40 years on and still considered no 1, definitely in my opinion!

Hi partypooper,

It's gotta be internationally I feel, as mentioned earlier, Frankel seems to be the one. He is doing similar things to BC over in the old dart. Smashing the opposition by 5+ lengths and they come out and win a Group 1 next start.

I had a look at Arkle party, what a jumper!! You sentimental Brits probably still tear up at the mere mention of his name! :)

Om Sharntee,

Thanks for posting that article, really good stuff. 3 x sub 11 second sectionals from BC.......WHAT THE???!!!!!!!

No coincidence Soft Sand, who has run equal sectionals to Black Cavier, came out and won a 1200m stakes race by 3 lengths at Caulfield!

Think we have a pretty handy horse in Soft Sand, Rails Run!!

Race times are iirelevant when Nolan doesn't move on the horse.
With such an easy run she'll need more races in Oz before heading to England.
Would be nice to how much she would put on Rain Affair

At least if she does go up against Rain Affair you can guarantee there will be pace on from the get go. The last horse to try and go hard early was Hay List, yet she still won comfortably.
Moody was saying he has no idea just what distance is the limit for her.
