I'm pretty sure there would have been a draw option in the betting. Which bookie was it and what were the odds you got on Australia?

It was http://www.sportsbet.com.au
and the odds were:

· India v Australia – Head to Head – Australia 1+ @ 2.40

If you bet before the test and got $2.40, then I'm sure there must have been a Draw option available. Bad luck. I think many would have lost money thanks to the rain.

I wouldn't say we struggled over there last time... a freak innings from laxman and Dravid and a poor decision to inforce the follow on was the only diffrence to the result.
we would of learnt from that and the preperation for this series has been the most focused of any...including the ashes ..so i hope we haven't let those pomies under our gaurd.

Now for those Pomies...

Great win for for the Aussies..I've never seen a team more focused !! The indians never had a chance..like him or Hate him coach buchanan is way ahead of his time..

I bet on Australia to win the 2nd test.
On my Sportsbet account it says I lost my bet. Im pretty sure there wasn't a draw option. Can anyone confirm this?

This is listed in their terms and conditions:

53.1. In the event of a tie (i.e. where both teams are bowled out twice and have the same score), all bets to win on either team will be paid at half face value (i.e. half the win plus half the bet amount). Bets on the draw will be losers. This rule may vary for some domestic competitions.

53.2. At least one ball must be bowled for bets to stand, otherwise all single bets are void. However, if a match is officially abandoned (eg due to dangerous pitch conditions) then all undecided single bets on the match are void and bets refunded while affected multiple bets will be recalculated excluding that leg.

Any help???

I am not sure if I understand you correctly.

BUT, you are aware that a DRAW and a TIE are not the same thing aren't you.

A DRAW is where there is no result, eg; the game was washed out in the 4th innings as it was in the 2nd test.

A TIE is when both teams end the game having scored exactly the same amount of runs and both teams have completed both their innings which means they are both bowled out twice.

The 2nd Test was a DRAW it was not a TIE.

Hope that helps.
