SportsTAB will reject any SportsTAB Multi that includes two betting options that relate to the same event (eg Parramatta to win & Jamie Lyon to score first try)

god damn it.

So you didnt even put the bet on? It was just a forum tip?

haveadip 26th January 2005 06:28 PM

Could you have a multi bet for say Hawks to win the wooden spoon, 5 teams to make the final 8 and someone for the premiership.

Jack Daniels 26th January 2005 06:58 PM

Knowledge, mate it's been that way forever. Unfortunately!

Put this one on when Aust where 4/42.
  • West Indies $2.20 Vs Australia (damn you WIndies for losing 2 early wickets).
  • Hewitt $1.45 Vs Nalbandian
  • Brisbane $1.10 Vs NZ
  • Andy Roddick $1.08 Vs Davydenko (Davydenko retired in the 3rd set, bet void because ********erdenko withdrew).
  • Man U Vs Chelsea DRAW $3.25
  • AC Milan $1.50 Vs Udinese

Total: = $18.47

Recalculated after Davydenko withdrawal to: = $17.10 (maybe but I was on a winner in this leg)

Also put this one on leaving the pub at the end of the Aussie innings thinking the WIndies might make a fist of a chance at a finals birth. :(
  • W.I. $3.05 Vs Aust (now looks unlikely after losing 2 early wickets, slow run rate after 18 overs)
  • Roma $1.70 Vs Fiorentina
  • Man U $2.55 Vs Chelsea
  • Molik/Kuznetsova $1.60 Vs Zvonerava/Myskina WON
  • Hewitt 3-1 $3.25 Vs Nalbandian

Total: = $103.12

No I believe not !! Not with NSW sportstab anyway.

Sportz 26th January 2005 07:26 PM

I don't like that rule about voiding bets when a guy retires, especially when they are clearly going to lose the match anyway. I know they brought this rule in to stop rorting, but I think it could still lead to some funny stuff. A player who thinks he has a chance of upsetting one of the top players could get someone to whack a huge amount of money on him at big odds, then if he's trailing 2 sets to love and 5-1 or something, he could just fake an injury and his mate gets all his money back. It's like a free bet to nothing.

the damn thing is...

my multi IS going to win.

biggest shot of my life and it won't even count..

....

Adelaide won.
Roddick won.
Davenport won.
Davenport won 2-1.
Phoenix won.
Chicago won.

all i need now is

Lleyton Hewitt.
AC Milan.
NZ +12.5
Brisbane

but it wont count.

oh well! live and learn right.

Knowledge. When I started placing multi's with sportstab NSW they wouldn't even let the bet be processed, and they still don't.

Mate I'd keep an eye on it. Because as far as I am concerned if they have taken the bet they should honour the outcome!

Sportz, I don't like that rule either. The guy was down 2 sets and I think 4-1 in the 3rd from memory (almost certainly going to lose the 3rd set, I was feeling home and hosed in that leg).

The bookie should pay Roddick as the winner. He was obviously on top. A different story if Roddick was down 2 sets and Davydenko withdrew. A void bet under those circumstances would be acceptable. I just feel ripped off. By the way the WIndies are playing my bets look unlikely anyway. :(

Jack Daniels 26th January 2005 07:55 PM

Knowledge at worst. You should expect to get money back regardless of the outcome of other bets in the multi.

1. If the multi gets up they should pay up.
2. If the multi gets up and they won't pay up they should refund your bet.
3. If it doesn't they should refund your bet under their rules.

knowledge 26th January 2005 08:07 PM

oh well. It's a real confusing situation we have here. I doubt it will win though since NZ don't look like they can lose by less than 13.
