Prior to yesterday
Gold Edition--$1,078,300

The horse that ran 2nd to Publishing got beat in a MW0 midweek race last start, with his best win being a Ballarat C3

wesmip1 14th January 2007 10:02 AM

It was released today that Publishinjg has a "wind" problem and is likely to go for an extended spell.

Sportz I think you should disregard all bids to buy him and if people still want to get him let them rebid.

I am fairly certain he won't be running again this Autumn.

Good Luck Investing.

just having a quick look through i think youll find there havnt been any bids for publishing anyway.

Chuck 14th January 2007 10:19 AM

crash, i saw someone post this somewhere else the other day, "Gold Edition to will win the MM Trophy before heading to Melbourne for the Lightning, Oakleigh Plate, Australia Stakes and Newmarket, then up to Sydney for the galaxy and the TJ Smith.

She is then set for the Royal Ascot double where after being beaten in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes Ron Maund demands a private audience with Tony Blair about British quarantine regulations.
Maund is qoted as saying "The filly really needed to run in the Stradbroke at home last week but these ridiculous rules meant we could start her at the Brisbane carnival" After the filly collapses with exhaustion in the July Cup maund begins negotiations to bring Pure Energy out of retirement."

:D

Nobody has bid on him yet.

But even if they had, I'm afraid that is just the way it goes. I make no guarantees about any of the horses and it's up to everyone to keep up to date with what's going on and not bid too early. With the knowledge that Gold Edition and Publishing were going to run yesterday, it would have been silly for someone to bet on them beforehand.

In any case, you've got J'adane at $250,000. I think you meant Jokers Wild???

It may not actually be such a great buy. I was really confident about him before yesterday's run, but he didn't seem all that impressive.

Considering that the stable consider him twice the horse of Mearas, he could prove OK

Chuck 14th January 2007 06:37 PM

i'm very sure of his potential, i just don't think they'll be rushing him for too much Group success this autumn, they'll take it easy

Modem 14th January 2007 06:38 PM

CHEEKY CHOICE - $430,000

Panther 14th January 2007 06:40 PM

Possibly correct, but then as a potential stallion prospect surely he has to win a GI as a 3yo--not that his owner would be too concerned I suppose
