Sure did Sands
For those who don't know Jamie joined Te Akau Racing in March 2014 as Racing Manager
Last July he took over as sole trainer for Te Akau Racing in NZ
In the genes! His father,,Paul,,was a successful jockey in the South Island & later turned his hand to training
Paul posted his 1000th NZ win as a jockey at the ripe "old" age of 41
His mother,,Leanne,,has also been involved with Racing Administration & was at one time president of the Otago Racing Club

Significance not disgraced Saturday having 2nd start
4th in a Listed race

Gasomo93 4th May 2019 02:45 AM

Will be watching the run of unraced 2yo filly Balaabel today. The $500K purchase taking on some smart ones at Morphettville but she is well bred & did win her last trial easily by 11.50L.

Very nice debut

Sands 5th May 2019 11:47 AM

Was a good run, liked the way she got to the line

Gasomo93 4th June 2019 03:12 PM

Balaabel ridden up on the speed her next start. Fought on for close 4th but other than that, did nothing out of the ordinary.

Gasomo93 13th June 2019 06:10 AM

Watch on unraced 2yo filly Skymist. By Lonhro from Daytime, trained by Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott. Winner only two trials. The last very impressive, leading throughout to win her 748 metre heat in 43.39 seconds eased down to the line.

Gasomo93 18th June 2019 06:07 PM

Another one for the watch-list, unraced 2yo colt Godot. By More Than Ready from You da One, trained John Hawkes. Easy winner only two trials. The most recent by four lengths recording 52.93 seconds over 897 metres.

kiwiz 19th June 2019 06:59 AM

Looks like they've put Godot away for later. Two noms not accepted.

Gasomo93 13th August 2019 12:26 PM

Another for the watch-list, unraced gelding Well Known. By Deep Field from Disclosure, trained by Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott. Recently won a trial (as a 2yo) by just under four lengths. Did reasonably well previous two trials but the addition of blinkers this time around, made a big difference.
