No. He's right. It's $2.65 for Blues over 12.5 at Sportingbet.

Well I m glad I listened to others on this forum about how the demons were going to smash the blues.the reds let me down in my bid for multi glory so they are definitely on the banned list,i think the blues and crusaders are GOOD things this week.I will wait for season proper for Afl although the Lions will belt essendon(cant bet on practice matches can we) at carrara on sat night.since you are online now and reading this sportz, how about having a $30 exotic in the horse tipping comp,i.e. quinella, exacta, first four instead of only a trifecta
cheers

Sportz 28th February 2005 10:30 AM

Rabbitz,

Too many problems would arise I think. I was actually planning on cutting out the trifecta and all-up altogether and just going back to straight forward Win and Each Way betting. Not quite so exciting but a lot easier for all.

As for the Reds, I wasn't confident about them at all. They had every chance of winning that game, but just didn't know how and why the hell wasn't Flatley kicking for them??? I reckon they'll probably be on zero points after 4 rounds.

Mr J 28th February 2005 02:53 PM

"They had every chance of winning that game"

Big plays, but when it came to recycling the ball...

Hurricanes just destroyed them at the breakdowns. Reds will find it very tough this year.

Sportz 28th February 2005 04:25 PM

Week three:

Fri 7:40 PM Brumbies v Bulls
Sat 3:30 PM Highlanders v Stormers
Sat 5:35 PM Crusaders v Chiefs

You can start posting bets as soon as any of the 3 bookies put up prices. Remember, new players, please read the rules in the opening post of this thread.

What needs to happen here to get a collect?

moeee 28th February 2005 05:40 PM

I wish Goldmember came back.
I'm sure no one laughed just because you got confused regarding the rules.
I've only got $380 left.
Hate to be out of the comp and then you start betting.
You were lots of fun last year!

Mo, I have to say it is one of the silliest bets you can even think of taking. It's basically a lottery. You just add up both teams' final scores and if it's an even number you win. How dumb is that?

Did anyone else notice I moved up a place because I didn't bet? Maybe I just sit here, wait for you all to bust then put in anothe 44 bets. Easy win ;)

Sportz 1st March 2005 01:10 PM

Yeah, I shouldn't have touched anything until the real stuff started (S12, AFL, NRL) The reason I'm this far behind is because of including silly pre-season games which I never think of betting on with real money.

Chuck 1st March 2005 05:51 PM

seems like a good safe be there sportz!
OB $400
Bet 5: Hurricanes -3.5 - $20*$2.05 = $41
Bet 6: Sharks +2.5 - $10*$1.90 = $19
Bet 7: MULTI: Blues -15.5 - $1.90, Brumbies -16.5 - $1.90, Crusaders -14.5 - $1.90 = $10*$6.86 = $68.60

Thanks Sportz.
Don't know about dumb.
From what you've been saying, you in fact have made a number of silly bets so far.
But I can't see how you decide to take one or the other.
Either way you take unders!

Sportz 1st March 2005 07:28 PM

Exactly. That's what I meant. It's like taking $1.90 on the toss of a coin.

Thanks for the boost Chuck, but you're not counted.
You are a horse racing person and I consider myself as a AFL person.
I have noticed your success in many ventures on the horse forum.

That's okay.

What do you think about the Crusaders? I was originally confident about them winning by a good margin, but a couple of people on here seem to give the Chiefs a chance of an upset.
