Your going to have problems here. Punters not turning up to bet. What do you do? Award double points to one of their crew? Scratchings: not everyone can afford to wait until 10am. Sat. to do the form and if they do it earlier and there is a scratching they don't get to bet it the following week. Everyone has timetables, especially Sat. and there is going to be lots of punters who cannot wait for scr. or track condt. before they put their bets in.

I managed 3 winners [$3.90, $6.40, $10.40] but not a full team. I think I will drop out. For a start, picking 8 selections is a bit over the top. 4 in home state and 1 elsewhere would have been reasonable, but 8 total is a bit ballistic. It interferes with my [personal] form study. Just too much hard work for play money.

no one syas you have take this that seriously, you don't even have to look at the form. maybe don't put in much effort and just tip something that appeals?

Sorry Chuck, when I have team members counting on me I just can't do that. When I tip in comps. that I alone am responsible for I do exactly that. 5min. form study and my results reflect that, but it's fun anyway as I have nothing to prove and no one to answer to. Team selection is different and what happens when the team dosn't totally turn up?.

What's the problem, crash? I thought this comp was a pretty good idea myself. But above all, it's really just a bit of fun. No need to take it quite so seriously.

Only the top 5 scores from each team count, so one person can miss out each week without the team being greatly affected. I might think about changing that to the top 4 scores in future just to be safe. If anyone else has any problems with picking 8 selections, perhaps I could cut that down a bit too, but I thought all in all it was pretty fair. And as for scratchings, your money is refunded if you can't get back on to change it on Saturday. So it's not as if you're losing any money.
