Thanks for that I would imagine if it was able to get a couple of runs under it's belt it would have been in this upto it's ears

I don't think many have done the Qtc / straddie double and i'm not that super keen on anything in the race today.
The only ones i could consider is Mr Baritone ,Catapulted and Ahdashim . the last 2 i query a strong 1400m .

I'm still happy enough with The Fat .
i'm already behind in the race (baqaba , Rothesay)

I've budgeted for 5 bets , so i'm going to have something on Ahdashim 61's and keep one for game day.

I'm leaving Mr Baritone alone even though he's going very well , he'll need to much in his favour to be competitive.

Catapulted is just not the style of horse that can win a straddie . has been awhile since a leader has won this race..

I'm 99% sure not one horse has won the QTC/Straddie

i'm now 100% sure , not even Hareeba and Shillaci could do it .

The Jackal and Border Rebel not running

Interesting that Border Rebel is out did it sustain an injury or something not saying i was going to back it or anything but would have thought all being well they would have atleast accepted for the race as they may have been able to sneak into the field.

One issue with Swift Alliance Mav is it hasn't had a run since the 17th April I don't think which is along time between drinks leading into a Stradbroke I would have to think fitness would be an issue, Another issue i would have is the trip never won beyond 1200m only been beyond the trip once before in it's life when beaten 1.5 lengths by Youthful Jack over 1300m.

Couple the distance doubt with an 8 week break leading into the race because of an injury cloud I would have to consider the horse a massive risk really.
