Think Upsetthym's Auckland Cup win leaves her in good stead with Childs on board. Still probably weighted to her best with 52Kgs. Danestorm would have to be a chance even though the Adelaide Cup form was not strong. Does stay well and Walker has been waisting a treat to ride him. Big wraps on Double El Aitch too, likes it firm, and on the up out of Lord Balina, should see out the trip. Really warming to this 5YO Mare Maze. Best weighted horse in the field, in my opinion, and looks a stayer in the making. Throw in the Freedman factor, and she will have to rate a chance. Not potting Pentastic, but do think he would prefer the sting out, and is giving the rest of the field too much weight. Mighty Lions and Nauders are well weighted, and give Plaudits a chance if she backs up.

ANOTHER WARRIOR
YAKAMA DANESTORM STOWAY |
Pentastic
Maze Nauders Double El Aitch |
Got nosed out for the first 4 had Tomorrows Party but no Another Warrior.
I atleast made up for it a bit by saving on the winner Danestorm. [ This Message was edited by: Raw Instinct on 2004-06-14 16:35 ] |
Raw, bad luck, paid nothing anyway, had Tomorrows Party as well, but last minute through it out for Another Warrior and sweated the result. Still perplexed how he Warrior cut the mustard? Only through it in because it was so firm in the market. Overall, a weakish race but a well matched team of run hard done goods. No Melbourne Cup winners here, but a good race all the same, very evenly matched and weighted. Cheers.

Reported that Danestorm is now being set for a hurdling career

That surprises me Paddy. Danestorm looks an improving type, perhaps capable of better things (on the flat). |
