Now your post w924 was very positive and I agree with your points.
I'm not sure though that I was incorrect about that service being denigrated. It couldn't have been about the way I use it [and others], because I'm the only one who could possibly know that.

Nowhere in your post did you play the man or even attempted to. You just discussed a 'subject'.

Cheers.

However, if they want to play the man because they have perceived aggression [instead of a point] and feel challenged, I will repay in kind.

Hi Crash, that is the problem.Copping an insult and reapying in kind does not solve the problem..it feeds it. It is a fight that no one can win..

the insult game cannot survive with only one player.... eventually the insulter gives up if he cannot provoke a response, because thats what insults are for..provoking a response. Much more rewarding for all concerned when we play the ball and not the man.

I know it takes a certain amount of effort to not lower ones self by repaying in kind..but it sure ends the problem. It takes two or more for a fight to happen..and often a bigger person to walk away..You will "win" every time..

all the best Crash and I'm sure that I and others will look forward to your tips should you ever decide to change your mind and post them again. You well know that it wasnt the posting of the tips that was perceived as the problem...it was the way in which some of your posts and comments were read..I guess when you call someone a "*&^% dunce " you are setting yourself up to become unpopular, because it is a little difficult to mis interpret a comment like that. lol ..even if you were laughing when you wrote it..

Hear, hear to both of you. And you are dead right w934. Sage words [all of them actually, so a few quoted here will do:

'I know it takes a certain amount of effort to not lower ones self by repaying in kind..but it sure ends the problem. It takes two or more for a fight to happen..and often a bigger person to walk away..You will "win" every time.."

I need yo give up responding to posts playing the man, and I've got to give up posting posts that often [but not always] sets that rubbish into motion. And I have to water down my very dry humor a bit, that easily gets taken the wrong way because they are only words without the luxury of expressions and body language.
When I call a poster a 'Dunce' [or worse]. I forget the other components ain't available for them to see. Usually a 'nasty' serve from me is never what it is often perceived as. I just ************ it all up and ************ it all up even more when I pursue a slight that I have often caused in the first place!

I'm going to practice exactly what you are getting at. Even I have room for improvement [a joke, a joke]:-)

Now on with racing.

Hi Crash..

Usually a 'nasty' serve from me is never what it is often perceived as.

I'm sure that is the case, and that humour is often missed..rather than missing..

You are certainly one of the characters on this forum Crash...I look fwd to more of your contributions..

Anything happen on Saturday race day that impressed or annoyed you?

All the best!
