Just knew Gai would want to qualify Diego in style. Hence stable star status! Gold edition was always good for prize money on its attempts - but now Plagarize is out, I have to decide who to replace her with. Today was good because it gave me enough to make the changes I wanted for the BMW and Sydney Cup.. Least, thats the hope.

[The G1 Blue Diamond Stakes winner, Nadeem is out of Golden Slipper contention after breaking down at Randwick this morning.
Nadeem was out doing only light work this morning but after he returned to the stables it was evident there was a problem to his near side fore leg and subsequent checks have revealed a suspected fracture to the cannon bone.
”He did it only doing very light work,” David Hayes stable foreperson Lizzie Jelfs said.
”There are scans pending but the vets believe there is a fracture in the cannon bone in his near side fore leg.”]

I tossed up between the two of them as my top choice for the Slipper, but in the end I chose Casino Prince, simply because he didn't have the fitness query that she had.

If I run another Fantasy comp in the Spring, I will definitely change things a bit. I'll try to make it so that people can make changes more regularly and at different times, in order to account for things like I Got Chills etc.

Don't know that it's got a lot to do with the rules, Chuck. ;) I think a few of your horses have just been a bit disappointing. That's just the way it goes. It happens to the best of us. I can't remember another season when so many top horses have been injured or run absolute shockers unexpectedly. And there's been a lot of roughies getting up in big races.

i think it was a case of everything i touched turned to gold...for example i remember throwing Testifiable and Fusiachi San in there as 3yos just because i remembered there names, and the next week they ran the quinella in a group 2 :D
