Yeah, I'll start it up soon. In the meantime, try to work out some horses you think will be able to win races at metropolitan meetings on Saturdays and Public Holidays over the next couple of months. It'll go from April 9 to June 13. We'll have 10 horses in our stable, 5 'Group A' horses and 5 'Group B' horses. We'll be betting twice as much on the Group A horses. Have a think about it.

what will be the limits though? I mean, what stops someone from picking Alinghi, Grand Armee, Fastnet Rock, Spark of Life and Elvstroem. Will there be a cost for each horse or something like that??

just loving this idea already

Sportz 30th March 2005 03:18 PM

No limits. For two reasons.

(1) Remember we'll be starting this AFTER the Sydney carnival's finished so the absolute highest class runners will probably not be around.

(2) If you pick the top class horses, they probably won't pay a lot or they will all be running in the same races against each other, so it wouldn't be a huge advantage. It would be an advantage if we were tallying up prizemoney won by the horses, but we're not. We're tallying up money won by betting on them.

Did anyone notice that the last race winner in sydney on saturday Mr Clang that paid about $ 61 or something similar was also entered in a race in Brisbane the same day, a much easier race at that where he was almost favourite prepost.??

Dr Ron,

Not sure the best way to easily follow this, but dual acceptances return very good value. I've looked back at some results and there are some very good dividends.

Dual acceptances, usually means the trainer doesn't want to miss an opportunity as the horse is ready to show something.

CP Do you know of any sites that have this info, There was 1 that I knew of but cant remember. Normally the trainer goes for the easier race.

Hi all

Dr Ron:

Working class man was also a dual acceptance horse. Yes you are correct that at times they do get up at good odds.

I vaguely recall a service whereby they would email you dual acceptances for a fee. Not sure who it was but someone may know.

Thanks everyone its been fun being in the comp.

cheers

I keep forgetting to back these dual acceptors.

2 today that I know of:

14UMAQUEST 23.105.50
9 RA SUN 5.20
5 ZANKEL 2.40

6ROAD WORKER 5.101.70
4 SAFARI SUNBEAM 1.20
3 FINNISS SEA NTD

I am wondering if I should back San Vitale in the second last race at the coast?

Sportz 28th January 2006 05:00 PM
