Now let’s see. Harvey has hopped off Covertly to ride Plastered. Plastered has had one start for a narrow win at Pinjarra Park. Paul King has hopped off Local Legend to ride Covertly. Willie Pike now rides Local Legend.

After all that have to think REDWOLDT will take out the double. Strong win in the Karrakatta and even better suited by this distance.

METALDALE should make the quinella again. Finished the race off well in the Karrakatta, extra distance should not trouble.

COVERTLY a bit disappointing in the Karrakatta should be better suited at the 1400M.

Like the way THE BLACK CIGAR got to the line in the Karrakatta. Put him in for 4th.

Will also include in the multiples, Refemme as honest as they come but might find the 1400M a bit too far on the day against this lot, and Harvey's mount Plastered, must have shown Harvey something.

I was with you partypooper, Redwoldt odds were way too short, thanks for nudge

Very nice effort by Plastered at only 3rd career start.

Some gay deceivers in this bunch MyHatMyCoat. Should be plenty of speed on, so maybe look for a swooper or two.

A few scratchings but still some nice tips yesterday MyHatMyCoat. The last race almost a great result for you.

Ditto MyHatMyCoat.

When Party Boy surged to the lead MyHatMyCoat, thought you had a nice price winner, but not to be. Nice place divi anyway, paid more for a place than the winner divi.

Paddy, glad you were on Covertly, I had a bumper day despite a couple of losers, but my 3 win bets all saluted, IE. Exchequer, Quasarock and Covertly. And a VERY good place result on (I'm sure you guessed it,... FIELD COMMANDER!!)as well as Rulain (for a place) If only we knew when a day like that will be repeated!!

Paddy 28th April 2004 08:19 AM

Thought FIELD COMMANDER ran a very cheeky race indeed partypooper. In the best form of his career.

Interesting to see DOMINIC TOURNEUR well up in the list Paddy.
Great record on country circuits, often riding doubles, trebles and the odd quadruple.
From memory, last city ride in 2001. Good to see a “battler” doing so well.

Paddy 1st May 2004 08:11 AM

Must admit when I saw DOMINIC TOURNEUR up there with PAUL HARVEY I thought must be some kind of error, as I couldn't recall seeing Dominic's name (on race day) too often, if at all. Considering the accolades often bestowed upon Harvey, what a mighty effort by Dominic!

brave chief 1st May 2004 10:28 AM

I've had a good look at Ascot today, but i havent finalised my bets yet.

2) 4. Cristobal
4) 6. Clockwork Orange
5) 11. Action Pak (e/w)
6) 10. Manjar Magic
 14. Dance to Heaven
(i expect Tribulot to be short in a race that looks above average for its class, barrier 14 - no good thing)

i think Pike has a very good book of rides today  Clockwork Ornage and Manjar Magic look the best atm

good luck today all!

PR5-2 Noble Touch
PR8-1 Seemingly Rich

El Gordo 3rd May 2004 08:57 AM

Shocker by Seemingly Rich on Saturday partypooper, I liked it as well. Something must have gone amiss.

Wonder if you touched a nerve with that "other" post partypooper, disappeared, perhaps not what you know but who you know

partypooper 4th May 2004 01:37 AM

El Gordo, not sure, but my days betting was as follows.
8 place bets at Ascot for 7 hits (in profit)
6 win bets (all states) for 2 wins (in profit)

3 EW bets (posted here) not one place!!!!

What can I say???

A few winners there, thanks fellows

Sandgroper 9th May 2004 09:17 AM

Thought the run of your tip Chenille Prince, in race 1 yesterday, was 'very interesting'. Not talking through my pocket (made a profit on the race) but suggest if you like the horse, stick with him.

Chenille Prince 9th May 2004 11:07 AM

Yes I'm not a happy chappie Sandgroper (talking through my pocket). Can’t knock jockeys on this forum, so I won’t

Mixed day otherwise:

My Thornbird, Prince of Vasac and Certified all saluted.

Twisted Kelly got too far back, ran on OK and will be improved by the run.

Higgins Gold ran an honest race for 2nd.. Feel he will salute the winning circle shortly. - Super Tom disappointing , even for a roughie. Dancing The Blues. Scratched.

She's Captivating just out of a placing, a win not far away. Latest Sovereign same comment as Super Tom..

Rebotto.took ages to warm up for 3rd. This 'n' That scratched.

Very interesting indeed Perth Placegetter, giving up no doubt a few winners at Belmont to ride Ellicorsam & a couple of others that appear not to be overly strong chances.
