OK guys sorry have been still very busy of late, but have updated the table!

Let me just say, it's getting VEEEEERY interesting at the top!! A fall from Raw has seen him lose top spot, but there's only $3.10 in it, with still a couple of weeks left in May!

Testarossa is also not without a chance of picking up those leaders, but for the rest of us, if we want to win we need roughies, and FAST. I need a cavalcade of them....

Here's the table, below's the link. I am going to SLAY them at the Valley tomorrow.

Tubby 11th May 2005 06:28 PM

I am not even in this comp but am impressed with your tips for today Duritz. Especially at MV. Slay indeed.

36.20 for 16 outlay on QTAB (Win only) and
60.60 for 32 outlay (WP)

Duritz 11th May 2005 07:36 PM

Cheers Tubby. I was last, I had to get a winner eventually.... My slump, however, is now over. Of this I am sure. I had been betting small the last couple of weeks, and not at all a lot of the time, because of being in a slump. Time to resume proper levels!!

By the way all, I am upping the maximum level of bets from 30 to 60 per week. It is obvious blokes like me and Sportz need it!!

Hey by the way Tubby after this month we'll start the comp all over again if you want to be in the next one. I haven't been as diligent as I perhaps should have been in keeping it up to date, but I think it's been fun nonetheless.

Here's the updated table after today, Raw and Sirpent didn't tip today, they must be eyeing one another off like gladiators, waiting for the other to move first!!

Next month it is, although after my pitiful attempts for the book on offer on another post, I may be just chicken feed.

Duritz 11th May 2005 08:23 PM

Aah I assume you mean the post where they were "raffling" a copy of Winning? I saw that, thought it was a great idea. I have a copy of it also, as well as "The Winning Way" (missing a cover). I ain't ever getting rid of them though, but the idea of sharing of knowledge etc is great.

You're on fire today Raw Instinct, not sure AR6 but so far so good so i may have to eat my words

I must have missed something but thanks anyway

Raw Instinct 14th May 2005 02:42 PM

I normally wouldn't bag to many jockeys but jesus that was an awful ride by Luke Nolan on Douro Valley he could so easily have won that race I really don't know what he was doing probably the worst ride I have seen.

Hmmm, maybe not a good decision. If I had tipped today, all I was going to do was take the inside and outside barrier in every race in Adelaide.

Then again, I'll take the real money instead of the play stuff. :)

Raw Instinct 14th May 2005 02:48 PM

always the way Sportz but very nice pickup anyway

iamcool 14th May 2005 02:56 PM

Mate you weren't to far off, not many would have backed that winner, certainly not me but then again i didn't rate Douro Valley either. Shows what i know!

Sportz 14th May 2005 02:57 PM

Big feature races in Adelaide with big fields are notorious for upsets.

Raw Instinct 14th May 2005 03:15 PM

Usually Brisbane carnival can be like that to usually some of the better racing value wise are the Brisbane and Adelaide carnivals.

Sportz 14th May 2005 03:20 PM

Then again one of the favourites just took the Goodwood, so who knows.

iamcool 14th May 2005 03:24 PM

She was to good, blitzed 'em all. Solar Antiquity fits your criteria - finished second.

A good day Testa. Well done. Dakaflight was about $23 up here I think.

Duritz 14th May 2005 07:50 PM

Testa you're a champ thanks for doing that.

Sportz - why are you pulling out??? You're the prolific comper (inventing new words here) of the site, why no more?? Are you going in the new one next month??

Sportz 14th May 2005 08:51 PM

Duritz,

I'm a bit competitioned out (another new word). :)

Also, I'm currently a bit busy at the time when I'd normally be putting my tips in and as such, I don't have a lot of time to think about my tips before I post them.

As I said, if I had tipped today, all I was going to do was just pick the inside and outside barrier in every race at Adelaide. Should have done it too because I would have made a profit of $70 today on Unitab figures.

Raw Instinct 14th May 2005 09:03 PM

I would have done it for you to Duritz but I have no idea what the NSW TAB odds were.

Great day there Testa should give you the lead in the comp pretty easily.

Duritz 14th May 2005 09:21 PM

No worries Sportz but remember, the beauty of this comp is you don't HAVE to tip heaps of em - you can just tip a few a week and be probably better off than mugs like me who tip heaps, because of the profit thing.

I'm going to leave you on the list, it's up to you what you'll do with it.

Duritz 14th May 2005 09:40 PM

Well well well. What a Saturday. What a finish to the week. What great tipping by the two leaders. Christ some people under the pressure would crack like an arthritic pensioner's leg when she's run over by a truck, but these two powered on like, well like the truck I suppose.

Testarossa - 24 tips, 8 wins, return 57.1 - Brilliant.
Raw - 7 tips, 3 wins, 19.60 and could have been so much more, but also Brilliant.

You two have done very well in this comp and continue to lead the way. %POT of 34% and 42% is fantastic. I hope you're backing all these things.

The rest of us were OK, neither good nor bad really. We pretty much all either won or lost just a little. Feather was the "worst" but was still only a negative 6.0. I went through a spell of 22 loser's in a row in this comp, -6 is childs play.

There's two full weeks left of the comp, then three days after that to the end of May. Those final three days willgive the second person time to try and catch the leader. Right now Testa has kicked to a $12 advantage, but it's no winning break yet.

Hey, who knows, someone else may yet pop up with a long shot winner and challenge all.

May be it'll be Sportz, re-instating himself into the comp tomorrow morning in a blaze of roughie glory at Eagle Farm, or Sirpent, who decided not to tip this week, who'll make up for it in the two weeks remaining, or Chucky boy, tipping the toppies everywhere, or Kiwi, who has gone strangely silent, perhaps he's reasearching some gun system to blow the comp away. Or maybe it'll be me, desparate and guessing, or mercurial, who has been solid as a rock all the way through and maintains a profit, or zorro who is in the same boat.

Or maybe this'll be like the Bonecrusher vs Our Waverly Star cox plate, two guns going neck and neck to the line, Bill Collins calling from beyond the grave - "Testarossa, Raw Instinct, Raw Instinct, Testarossa, and __________ races into tipping comp immortality!"

Who will be in that gap????

player Profit/loss
