miss el guerrouj..over raced early..steadied near the 800m..unable to obtain clear running in the straight..finishing off well for close 4th..

..just read he ran 2nd..beaten 1.5 lens..beat the odds-on fav home..

Was a good run, jake. Raced behind the leader (& eventual winner). Lost a bit of ground before the turn. Got going again, finished off gamely. Will be better for the run. They ran 1.09.21 for the 1200.

Yeah a late bloomer RJ, 5-Y-O, 2 race starts for 2 wins. A half-sister to El Presidente. Trained by Bruce Watkins, who trained El Presidente, Danny Beau & Charlie Beau. Might be off for a spell now & back for the fillies and mares races this summer.
