Unless Jim Taylor has changed his mind Barakey won't be venturing east until the spring.

Ranger to head east. Expected to race first-up in the Carlyon Cup at Caulfield Feb 11. Longer-term goal the Australian Cup.

Generally speaking, Ranger hasn't lived up to expectations imo. Wonder what a change in scenery will do?

jake 27th January 2012 10:24 AM

..part of the reason for ranger heading east is to escape the harsher local handicapping

jake 27th January 2012 10:49 AM

..also part of the reason western jewel is heading east

Does Taylor have any particular race/s in mind?

MyHatMyCoat 2nd February 2012 06:10 PM

General comment by Jim, no particular race mentioned.
