Geez, I've just seen that the Aussie girl Sara Carrigan won the Road Race. You beauty! She wasn't really expected to figure I don't think. She was long odds in the betting.

I wish I had gone with my hunch from earlier in the week and had a bet on the South Africans in the relay at $13. Instead, I just had a small bet on them at $2.75 last night to get back some of the money I bet on the USA.

Having said all that, it sure is good to see the americans get beaten in one event they would have marked down for victory. The 100 freestyle is interesting now. Schoeman and Neethling must both stand a chance. My longshot tip of Kaitlin Sandeno swam a good third in the 400 free. So close. Oh well, never mind.
