Desert Revolt

Would you believe the fastest heat (1000M) at yesterday’s Belmont trials was run by a stallion who hasn’t raced for 2 years called Desert Revolt. The Metal Storm 4YO has not started since Dec 2003 where at his only race start ran 2ndLast in the listed N.J. Way Stakes (2YOs) behind a handy type called Covertly. Was given his head after turning and bolted away for a most impressive win in fast time.

westi 13th December 2005 11:20 PM

In particular like 2 horses tomorrow at Pinjarra.

In the penultimate (1) Our Triumph. Finished his last campaign with a solid finishing 4th over 1650m at Belmont. His initial win was over 1200m at Belmont and his first-up record is OK. Class 2 tomorrow, drawn the fence. Looks a good EW chance.

In the last (2) Titcherman to be ridden by the fish :) Last start won a class 5 at Albany against some pretty handy Albany types, even fitter for that run, 3rd since a spell. Class 3 tomorrow, also has a good draw. Again looks a good EW chance.

WildWildWest 13th December 2005 11:31 PM

Hope they do well for you westi ;) definitely both good chances!

WildWildWest 13th December 2005 11:38 PM

My best EW is in the 6th (C2) no. 7 Chequer Board.
Only had 4 starts FirstUp tomorrow Last prep won firstUp then ran consecutive 3rds at Belmont. The underrated Jason Brown will ride.

Watch for Olitate, should be fit for this....I thought his breeding suggests more ground but they are doing the sprint with him. Suprising.

The way ELLICORSAM won her last start would suggest a BIG chance in the A.J. SCAHILL! She should be able to run out a strong 1400 now she's had a few runs under her belt.

hahaha, looks like we have to...had a feeling it might be scratched, I think it's engaged to race at Ascot..I would have to check the fields before it races to determine whether to bet or not though.

2 lacklustre performances since she won the Burgess Queen watsonnek! what oil (if any) have you got to suggest a vast improvement against open class opposition?
