A bit harsh calling the #3 a non winner on the track.
It hasn't appeared here before.
I think you may find it leading today , and I feel it will mess up your Exotics.
Tough Race though.
Seems a tough meeting all round.

If #6 runs second or third here , I'll come to your home , and you can personally ram your tuba up my kyba!
Not trying to demean your selection system , just stating my findings of its chances.
Good luck with it though.

Nah, not doing the dog rating thing no more, too busy doing other things but the missus is out and I thought I'd look at them.
Actually I'm more worried about the #2 than the rest of them.

About your FF yesterday, I thought what you might do, not sure it's profitable mind, that you have one with the fav on top and other with the longest on top and only the less fancied ones for the rest?

Specially with 7 runners or less?

race #6 3,4,8,7,1 not in order!
FF 1,4,3-1,4,3,8-field don't know what it costs? Prob more than it will pay?

I'm unsure what you are saying here.
is it the naked dash race?
And if it is , are you suggesting that I purchase a first 4 with the animal i consider as being the worst possible chance of saluting , on top?
If so , I can't do that.
I am not following a System.
I am studying form as best I can and to place an animal I consider as little chance of winning on top defies the reason for the study.

But what i can do and should be doing is to find out why my worst rated animal won , and see what I may have missed.

Yeah - I originally had Dyna Bernt on top.
Then I looked at its recent Form.
Has done nothing for around 8 starts.
And its record here is abysmal.
Perhaps we are confusing with Dyna Bert??

Can't remember which race it was, not following your thread that closely but the one you promised something if #2 runs 4th?

No I just think that in a small field anything can happen, and mostly does, so a small fun wager on the outsider might be in order.

I wouldn't do it but I don't even bet a quinella let alone a FF.

Ps you probably didn't miss anything, just the vagaries of racing, hence a "fun" bet as a saver?

These fun bets can be of Value if they are taken as an insurance.
My problem with it is I am a very tiny wager size Punter , and if I am betting 15 0r 20% of my total Outlay on a Race as a Fun Bet , then it becomes uneconomical.
Not that any of my Wagers are economical.
But I try.
Its like subsribing to a $100 a week selection service , and then investing $5 a race.
Any Profits made will soon be swallowed up by price of the service.
If only the anything can happen and usually does could be quantified , then there is your Edge.

Well you must make sure that you avoid as much as possible races where "anything" can happen.

To quantify it?
I can but don't bet on it and blame me, although it's proven, bet on the longest in any five horse race. Don't have stats on dogs, as I said I lost interest.

That's it, guaranteed profit but long outs.

To me betting exotics is already a gamble moeee, so why not expand on it?

I don't have the time nor the inclination, but I almost guarantee, that if I went back and analysed all your selections for a few months at least, I'm sure there would be a profitable situation betting to win and place only.

I said it before you pick them well but ...
Good luck anyway, get out of your hair now.

Well it seems I found the race too difficult to bother with the First 4 - to my own detriment.

2 questions.

Will you be home tonight?
And what size is your tube?

Obviously was one of those races where I shouldn't have stuck my butt in.

How about lunchtime tomorrow then moeee?

By that I mean that in some races the obvious candidate for the top and second selection is a given, waste of time justifying them, more profitable to find place-getters at a good price to fill the card.

Try wgl400 for the hvl300 and wgl460 for the hvl350 these distances provide the best indicators of all the vic splits for racing at hvl

Hate to state the bleeding obvious here but you got it in one!

That is the name of this game, and I can tell you, heaps of punters would be terrified out of their mind to bet on horses I do, but I get them right more often than not and make a very good living. (have to say I'm also a, now, silent partner of a business so there is no pressure)

Also the fact that I only have very few bets helps, used to bet from race one to the last, utter disaster!

moeee 16th September 2012 04:30 PM

The thing is Lomaca , I attack Punting as i might other things in Life.
I treat every race I study with the same procedure and I expect to get a similar result.
Not so much financially , but somewhat accurately.

I mean , if you were a painter , and you painted every house white , then you would feel a bit annoyed if a house dried an orange colour.
A tinge of yellow every now and then , but not orange.

Off to SALE.
