#8 is ranked 5th on but has a wide stdev.
Moee you'd have the last 5 -last 12 avgs different story again for these dogs.
But however you look at them if the #1 does lift on its last few starts should win.
Query the #5 as a stayer with limited 1 turn runs but those runs have been extra good, it's the dog i'd love to see win.
I think the #6 gets left at the start, will be too short for a risk like that for mine

How do the split times work at warragul?
and probably elsewhere.

The 460 1st split takes about 6.5 seconds.
The 400 1st Split takes 8.5 seconds.

any idea as to what feature is used to designate the split marker?

Do as you please , but if I can't get at least a trifecta , I will be a monkeys uncle.

460 is about 106 metres
and the 400 is about 144 metres
The tracks normally have discs, or lines on the inside or outside of the tracks fences or railings

I'd bore you with the maths to calculate but the 400 takes in bit of the turn so you need to use centripetal formula for the calcs and the other matter that complicates it, is the T formula for acceleration as they hit the turn around the 95% top speed

Now if you look at the watchdog how they calculate straight time/distance you will find an edge.

It's a risk at that short quote as it races dogs with Little early speed big difference tonight

yep that happens everywhere they say they put them at 100 or 150 but they don't Track sizes are even wrong radius of turns you name, you can get every track satellite surveyed, so you know who is cheating.
You even have the topography available.
Point in case Healesville god love that track.

the 350 metre dogs run a quick first 100 metres then the 300 start, Now you can get the elevation of where both of those starts are positioned and the incline they both face.

That's why I needed a track contact to confirm or give an approximation for me the other month
