Interesting exacta system

Hi again, check this out, its looks ok.
On the qtab web page, click on a race and at the top left hand corner are tips. I think their Read ratings, but I'm not certain. ( www.tabonline.com.au/2005/07/05/mtgraces.html )
If you take each of these tips with the field in exactas and then the field with those tips for 2nd in exactas for half a unit, you win on a lot of races. today div were very good. I might look into this some more. looks ok.

Can't quite understand why there has not been more discussion on your suggestion, Dimboola. The results you gave for Tuesday are rather impressive.

While it did not seem to do so well yesterday (Better for country races???); the first at Mornington today brought home the bacon, $191.60 for a dollar on NSWTab. Certainly worth investigating further. Congrats.

Merriguy 7th July 2005 12:43 PM

And $268.20 (Unitab $309.40) Race 2, Mornington; $54.50, Race 3 Mornington.

Stix 7th July 2005 02:40 PM

& would have won how much?

dimboola 8th July 2005 01:45 PM

win some and quit. You wouldn't bet in every race. Thats idiotic. pick your mark.

iamcool 8th July 2005 01:55 PM

Certainly some nice collects there dimboola,
Anyway to test this system?

iamcool 8th July 2005 02:38 PM

Seems to work, just looking at the races run today.

You might be on to something here dimboola although the expense would worry me a little. But as you say if you were selective you could go alright. Will follow your results with interest.

Bhagwan 9th July 2005 04:04 AM

Please say you are joking Stix.
The first bit is the first part.

newpunter 9th July 2005 11:34 AM

example please

Could somebody please show me an example of how to do a race using this method

many thanks

newpunter

spyhunter 9th July 2005 11:54 AM

could you please explain the system clearly? and what is this link http://www.tabonline.com.au/2005/07/09/mtgraces.html

how does it work, what benefits? what is jackpot?

dimboola 9th July 2005 12:04 PM

OK, this is how I do it.

I go to www.tabonline.com.au/2005/07/09/mtgraces.html
pick a race... for example Randwick race 4.
Hit race 4 and open race 4 page.
Near the top left corner are radio tab tips ( in this case 4,1,7 )
Take these Nos ( 4,1,7 )to win with the field to come 2nd in exacta and
take the field to win with 4,1,7 to come 2nd in another exacta.
I bet 50c units.

Thats it.

Yesterday, in racing, & trots ( i never checked the dogs but it should work there also ) it returned more winning exactas than there were races as in some you'll get the exacta twice. ie maybe 90 races and 90 plus winning exactas

spyhunter 9th July 2005 12:14 PM

is this web site a bookie or betting advice site? what is radio tip? are they pick? for example it has the most possiblity to win the race like 4,1,7 ?

iamcool 9th July 2005 01:03 PM

Hi Spyhunter,

They are selections under the heading "Radio TAB" which is the service that broadcasts the race meetings every day on the radio. Accordingly these are their selections for winning that designated race. Three sometimes four selections for 1,2,3 and/or 4 are provided as they see it- simple as that. However when assessing each race if you were to take each selection provided under "Radio TAB" for 1st place and all the other runners in the race for 2nd place in an exacta (1st and 2nd in order) and vice versa you would be surprised at the number of times you select the winning combination.

iamcool 9th July 2005 01:32 PM

I hate to tempt fate but after looking at todays results so far the manner in which this is working is uncanny.

I bet i could stop it working with $1!

Wunfluova 9th July 2005 03:00 PM

cold water

iamcool, either you are looking at different races from me or those sunnies you are wearing are dead set primrose coloured. :-)

A quick check of races 1 to 5 in B'ne, Syd, Melb and Adel reveals an outlay of $1170 for a return of $650 (for $1 unit) which is a loss on turnover of 44%!

I can only assume that everyone is looking at the occasional large dividend but not taking into account the outlay per race of (Field - 1)*6.

Dead set quick way to the poor house betting all races - probably slow lingering death betting selected races. Too many selections and too much dead wood included by taking field. Serious amputation required if patient is to survive. :-)

regards,
Wun

You can't get an exacta twice in the one race...thats a quinella.
I think a few people need to learn a bit more about the betting options and the way they work...not trying to be smart but unless you understand the mathamatics you are going nowhere

To work out cost of exacta in a 12 horse field with 3 selections you need to take one away from the total number of starters then multiply by the number if selections you have for first

example 12 horse field 3 selections
12-1=11x3=33 total $33 if the exacta pays $23 you lose $10

iamcool 9th July 2005 03:50 PM

Thanks Wunfluova and Shaun for dashing all my hopes!

I see what you're saying and i begrudgingly have to agree, as i mentioned before the cost would always be a concern.

Might have to get new sunnies, the bloke i bought them from told me that they were magical. He said that if i bought them from him he could guarantee a massive profit and i could retire. A nice fella, from the gold coast i think he said!

Wunfluova 9th July 2005 03:55 PM

Shaun, if you read the posts again you will find the 'system' involves taking 3 selections into the field and also the field into the three selections - hence the exacta will be scored twice in the one race if two of the three tips run first and second. (and is why the total outlay is double what you suggested)

regards,
Wun

Shaun 9th July 2005 04:05 PM

It is not a total lose you have done some good research and found an idea...now the first idea didn't pan out but maybe you will come up with somthing different using this fact...it may take you many months or even years before you find somthing that is workable...but boy is it a good feeling when you do.
By my calculations..and i may be a bit wrong there on the 32 races we had today there was an outlay of $1,077 return $828.20 loss $248.80
but the interesting fact was there was 19 winners from those 32 races

Shaun 9th July 2005 04:06 PM

Sorry i must have missread the post.....i will stand corrected....but it is still a loss never the less

Of course i mean no disrespect to any honest geniune folk up there on Gold Coast. Just a swipe at 'magic' system sellers that use Gold Coast as their address.
