The Magic of the Punt
 

1. First of all, pick the number of days a week that you would like to have a bet. (try for more than once, otherwise you are letting the side down).

2. Multiply this number by 2 (Just to be honest)

3. Add 5. (for Sunday)

4. Multiply it by 50 I'll wait while you get the calculator.

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1755. If you haven't, add 1754 .

6. Now subtract the four-digit year that you were born.

You should have a three-digit number.

The first digit of this was your original number (i.e., how many times you want to have a bet a week).

The next two numbers are YOUR AGE!

Just a few observations though.......

You spend too many days gambling and you are getting pretty long in the tooth!

PS. I almost forgot, try boxing that three digit number in a trifecta, you will be surprised how many times it doesn't come up. :)

Not at all surprised about the box trifectas though... I mean how many times do you see a 7-2-7 trifecta.....

Rare as rocking horse excrement it would seem....:) but we can't blame the TAB for your age! Or can we?

I beleive this is the only year that this will work .

Unless, of course, you replace Rule five with 1756 & 1755....... Or, indeed, the current year minus 230 & 231.......... ARRGHHH!! I really must get a life!!!

Don't feel bad SeeDee, I did exactly the same.

I came up with some good numbers, 2,3 & 4 apart from no.1 there probably the next best.

Canterbury R6 yesterday paid $200+
Warragul R5 also yesterday $400+

This is just another typical mechanical system. Full of faults.
You put in your numbers to get an unsuccessful trifecta and end up with a Boeing aircraft model and it doesn't work for centenarians which cuts out half the people on this forum.

It's a joke KV.... the original was for beer drinkers, replace beer with bet and do it again. Let see if we can get a smile out of you this time.

I'm not sure which of us has had the sense of humour bypass. Mine was a joke too. I'll make it more obvious next time by plastering a load of smiles on it. :-) :-)

So, for interest sakes only, what box trifecta did you get for replacing beer with bet? I know it works with 20...
